If you cannot find people on "game ranger," this thread can serve as a place for people to post their dueling interests. When you got someone to play with you, you can use hamachi or game ranger to connect.
The rules of 1v1 depends on the map: usually include banning some imba heroes and banning the use of bugs likes Arcane Crystals.
Randomly generated maps are not very balanced. Therefore, ppl play made maps. You can check the classic duel maps from TOH.
The group I know often play a map called Mystic Vale v2.31. I would love to introduce you to some of these players, but most of them only speak Chinese.
Another type of 1v1 maps are called duel maps. My favorite duel map is called 10W, which allows you to buy 10-week troops and fight with your opponent immediately. Short description: Small size, infinite movement, almost no duplicate artifacts on two sides, super hero reinforcements for fighting Fortress, and many other features. BTW, Sphinx' answer is ywz.
