After so many years, anybody still passionate about the game of HEROES V?
Although I travel a lot and don't have much time playing online, I am fortunate to be around a group of people who still play against each other everyday
I've been trying to help new players to learn the basics of HEROES V and build up their skills on some forums. Videos are a great way for educational and sharing purposes. I've made some and posted on a platform. While doing it, I thought I should also share these videos here.
Swamplord used to make videos that I enjoyed. So did Towerlord and his broadcast links. Any new videos these days?
If you've got any videos you'd like to share, please post them in this thread as well! Hope we can keep this up together!
Academy is a versatile faction, but it depends a lot on the luck of a main hero getting certain combat skills (2% chance Defense, for example) and certain magics from the guild.
However, Havez can take the biggest Dragon Utopia safely under worst conditions:
1. No Fire Trap, Regeneration, Raise Dead, Arcane Crystal, Blade Barrier, Summon Elementals, Resurrection, and Conjure Phoenix;
2. No Mark of the Wizard, Fire Warriors, Attack, Defense, and Logistics.
3. No artifacts.
4. No good mini artifacts for troops.
The video features a typical lv15 Havez on the official map Dragon Pass. He got +2d +3p before hitting Dragon Utopia. I purposefully made a mini artifact for magic damage reduction, which is useless in the battle, just to make my point.
Of course, in real gameplay, you don't have to sacrifice 100+ Gremlin Saboteurs to take the Utopia unless strategy calls for it. This video illustrates one way to do it if necessary.
The video is posted on the largest Chinese video platform youku.com, where the population of HEROES V players are still growing. There is a 30-60-sec advertisement before the actual video starts.
Previously, I posted a video showing how Havez can take the biggest Dragon Utopia safely under worst conditions:
1. No Fire Trap, Regeneration, Raise Dead, Arcane Crystal, Blade Barrier, Summon Elementals, Resurrection, and Conjure Phoenix;
2. No Mark of the Wizard, Fire Warriors, Attack, Defense, and Logistics.
3. No artifacts.
4. No good mini artifacts for troops.
In fact, if we loose the constraint a little and let a hero have Mark of the Wizard, any lv15 Academy hero can take the biggest Dragon Utopia with a similar tactic. The video below shows that.
In the video, I prepared a useless mini artifact just in case. Ended up not using Consumer Artifact to resurrect those 15 Elemental Gargoyles, probably not worth the resources.
Again, in real gameplay, you don't have to sacrifice 60+ Elemental Gargoyles to take the Utopia unless strategy calls for it. This video illustrates one way to do it if necessary.
There is a 30-sec advertisement before the actual video starts.
zaio-baio said:Here are my replays . I had many more, but i lost them when i renamed my profile - the game deleted all my saves and replays without asking me.
Thanks zaio-baio! If you don't mind, I would like to replicate some of your replays and turn them into videos.
Back to our video time! My last post showed how any lv15 Academy hero can take the biggest Dragon Utopia with Arcane Armor. Since Magic Guild Level 5 of an Academy town only has 50% chance carrying the magic Arcane Armor, some players might wonder what to do with the other 50% chance of getting Conjure Phoenix.
The following video solves the problem. As a result, any lv15 Academy hero can take the biggest Dragon Utopia with 100% confidence as long as they have built Magic Guild Level 5. It does not matter whether the lv5 magic you get is Arcane Armor or Conjure Phoenix.
There is a 30-sec advertisement before the actual video starts.
