Indeed. It'll need to be discussed with the game's designer though. Don't want to ruin his carefully thought-out line-up ideas 
So what would you see the Emerald Knight ride, then?
It cannot be a flying creature, because it would change the role of the unit too much.

But seriously, only if we don't get Unicorns. And even then it's not what I'd prefer. Only the purest of Heroes should be allowed onto a Unicorn's back. And there are not hundreds of purest of Heroes.
No there are plenty of other beast that Elves can ride that aren't Unicorns.

Have to say though, I think anything carnivorish is unsuitable for sylvan mount. It needs to be a herbivore.

As far as I can tell, pretty much, yes.
I think at some point we ruled out any sort of feline rider in Sylvan because it would be too much like WarCraft.
Oh it is a pity no feline...
A white tiger Rider would have been awesome man!

Because a Python is totally not a carnivore.
But I agree that mounting him on the Doe might not be a bad idea of the Balanced line-up wins. If the Strength line-up wins, he should probably remain footed to not conflict with Unicorns.

I think that best mount is indeed the white lynx (or some sort of feline). Maybe its head can be redesigned a bit. I definitely have no issue with the fact the WoW or even some other games have had the same concept. It's quite fitting.
Alternatively, but not as good of an option, would be a stag. Maybe even a white wolf? The unicorn is too pure of a creature and can be mounted only be few chosen (i.e the heroes of the faction).
