Heroes II.

My eldest brother bought it (maybe we got a demo from a game magazine, I'm not 100% sure of that tho, I was like 5 then xD) and we installed it on the computer of my father's office, and playing it after school with my 2 brothers. Those memories, man, those were the times...

Uni holidays, went down to the computer room in my residence to see if there was something to keep me entertained and found heroes 3. Never heard of the series before, but I spent 10 hours a day for the next two weeks playing it. Was completely hooked.

HoMM 1, though I don't have many memories about it, just like HoMM 2; perhaps just a memory or two. I remember a map which was essentially a cross in the sea (I think this was in HoMM 1) and I remember a map that I played as Gem with truckloads of Dragons around on the map, guarding a valley in the middle (I think this was HoMM 2). I was in my late teens and somehow neither game drew me in.

When me and my brother both went to college, a fellow student of my brothers' gave us a copy of HoMM 3 and I was sold. Ever since then, I've been hooked to the genre, though I mostly skipped HoMM 4 (really disliked it).

Still play HoMM 3 from time to time.

i still remember homm1. it kicked my ass. i was actually able to fight back with homm2, and by homm3, i was wiping out the competition.

of course, it could just be that i got better as i went along. maybe i should try to play homm1 again, and see if i can actually survive a game this time.

My interest in the franchise began with Heroes 3 back in 2001 when I bought the game. My first game was on the map "Key To Victory". I played with Tower and collected over 400 Naga and 200 Titans with Fafner before I decided to attack the opponent (noob ). Since then I became addicted to this game.

Heroes of Might and Magic 1

In a PC public games room that links every PC via LAN.

Took only about 1 or 2 games to master the Human faction(Castle) to really have other players wonder: Who the heck is this awesome player, anyway?

Heroes 3

3 heroes was all a big map, a large field of battle, a great friendly interface, fractions 9 to select tastes great kolichesktvo creatures with different abilities and powers, great spells, abilities of the hero

but there are disadvantages associated with the time of the game: This is the graph which of course it is time to revive to level 6 heroes in fact that all 3 characters and wanted a new engine computer, 2 drawback but not as important accessory units are not always right faction, but the rest of this series not corrected, and that's always been such cases for example: hydra underground or minotaur, manticore and dragon just somehow found themselves in the place of caves under the ground, Gnolls and lizards also have no common roots or so on

I've been playing since heroes 1. I was a little kid (I was four when it released, and I'm pretty sure I played if before 2 came out a year later) and had no idea about strategy and wasn't actually interested in winning, I just liked watching the castles be built up. I played on the easiest difficulty and usually after building everything I started over, but sometimes I would lump all of my troops into one army, take the enemies castle and built that up. One time I moved across the map taking and building up castles and I accidentally won. I was very surprised. If I remember correctly the map was "Jolly Roger", a semi-archipelago map and the enemy never got around me to take the castles I left undefended. In Heroes two I mostly played the same way but I won a few times. Heroes three came out when I was eight and was the first time I really tried to win, but I never got into the campaigns. And the I had to watch my favorite iconic series of my childhood wither away into what it is now. I think grasslands theme  is possibly the most nostalgic song for me and its reappearance in Heroes 6 was one of my favorite things about the game. The heroes 6 version is even better, shockingly.
