Proud HC Supporter.
I would like my Badge of Awesomeness now please.
Also, there should be a banner for advertisement. Publicity for this feature would be a good thing.

@Salamandre:
With AOH and HC I have quite a few things to code, and these aren't my main projects in life, so it's nothing personal that it can take me a while to get to any particular fix or feature. This feature has been requested a number of times, so by the time this thread popped up I was already thinking about it thanks to all the previous mentions. So I wouldn't call it failed attempts. I think we all succeeded here in the end
By the way, I checked your thread and see that you're having issues with hosting. How many megs of storage are needed for all the downloads? Maybe we can come up with hosting for the downloads for the thread at HC, or if you want to make a web site we can discuss potentially hosting it on AOH.
@Orzie:
Lol, pokebold I think this is the most convincing argument for having the rating in bold, so it is done!
Supporter field in the profile - see here. And you can check Stevie's now to see it in action.
Changing author of the thread - this would have to be done manually in the database at this stage, and as I mentioned undermines the integrity of the forum concept a bit. If on-request edits by moderator can't sufficiently solve the issue, it is probably better to discuss specific cases to see what the best solution would be. If there is a thread where this is really needed at the moment, post it here for discussion.
@Stevie
All sorted as per other thread. Banner idea for Supporter feature - so far it is just the small "Remove Ads" link, but there could be a banner in rotation maybe also with 2-3% chance to let people know about the feature. The banner could then change to some kind of alternative "Thanks" design for people who are already Supporters. Let's discuss in Community Banners if you have more ideas.

The mods for WoG are quite heavy, as for now they take up to 1.8 GB. I had problems with hosts because all mods are packed as *exe files, as I need post install commands, and probably hosts thinks I store viruses or such, so got deleted several times, even when I pay for storage.
Anyway, lastly I bought domain and web space so now I have enough space but not the knowledge to design the site, which introduces my answer to what you complained about: I know, I have no grief toward you for not answering my previous requests. Coding, designing sites for free is hard as I experience it myself now, asking is easy.
Thanks for doing what you could, it is already more than enough.

I already sent the donation. Valera, eh? Hello from Siberia. It's funny to find more and more slavic names here.

Yeah, there is The Succession Wars Mod thread which was created by Kivo who is currently too busy to spend time on the project. So that it could be convenient to change the author ID because the thread will be able to become "Official Thread" with all the features this status can provide.
I can be satisfied with the current situation though, but when we will be up to release the new mod version, I will create a new thread (already third on this forum). Perhaps it will be even more convenient, perhaps not.
By the way, aside from WoG subforum, there are a few threads which deserve the Project rating in the Library subforum.
Heroes 3 HD Mod by baratorch
Heroes 2: Project Ironfist by Darmani (a very decent development too, I plan to participate)
and probably my Heroes 2 Museum thread, but I don't know if I will find something else to add there because I already did a very extensive research before.

Spasibo (thanks)
I thought more about this subject and woke up with an idea that seems very interesting and not too difficult to implement: for threads rated Project I could give moderators the ability to assign additional editing permissions to the first post, so that additional users can edit the first post without changing its author. And it can be multiple users, so we could have few or several members of the team who are able to edit the project post. And of course the existing backup file feature would work for this as well.
I think perhaps this could make HC quite useful for mod project teams. What does everyone think?
Threads in the Library - the authors would need to request the Project status from Angelito if they want to make ongoing edits.
By the way I really liked your HOMM2 thread. Especially knowing that the joke I made many years ago actually fooled some people! - if you could cite the sources where the confusion occurred it would be fun
Orzie said: 12th PoL hero portrait
Age of Heroes website launched this prank which was later considered by some people as a true fact.
When I was making the POL heroes page I didn't like that the table with 11 heroes looked uneven because of an empty spot - so I humbly fixed that with some quick photoshop action

Yeah, there is at least one fan page where admins believed Age of Heroes to be the official Heroes series website

I request the project status for my Heroes 2 Museum thread in the Library. I plan to make a notable update, and even add new sections to the thread structure concerning the descent of many HoMM2 graphic assets.

Thanks for the tip. Although I don't know if angelito is still around. It took a good while to assign a qp for that post.

It's true that he hasn't been very active over the past few months, I didn't thought of that. With Alci, Elvin & Omega I'm actually spoiled in the h7 section xD
Maybe we should recommend asigning another moderator to the Library?

It's a shame that such people so active in the past now don't have opportunities to participate in the community development.
Ah, I am so sad that I came too late and never talked to Shadowcaster, he was my most favorite mapmaker for H2 of all time. It was awesome to meet Corribus, but he also seems to lose the grip over the HoMM land with time, unfortunately.
But that's off topic. I sent HCM to angelito, we'll see how it goes.

Btw, maybe is time for new icons, as the ones I linked to you 1 year ago?
That would rejuvenate the forum.

Since the main posts of project-rated threads can now be edited by the topicstarter, but the rights do not apply to any other member of the forum besides the Mod Squad, I'd like to ask a question.
- Would it be legit for me to create a corporative account on HC for a thread of a modding project? Due to the major update coming, I'd like to start an "official" thread (HotA-style) the first two posts of which are intended to be editable by a corporative profile, e.g. named HoMM3SW, to provide the most actual information about the project and to ensure a failsafe situation when something happens to me (the current project coordinator) or my ability to log into HC.
I know that many forums are against duplicate accounts, so that I decided to ask here first.
