I don't see myself playing Heroes 3 on the bus or on the waiting room of the dentist. In fact I can't imagine a place where I would want to play that doesn't allow me to confortably use a laptop.
So I forgot to even consider it.

Meh, it seems like he doesn't even know what the HD mod does expect give you the ability to play in what resolution you'd like.

Usually HD editions are made with the purpose of porting the game to newer systems. It's a self-appeared and self-supporting standard.
For thousands and thousands of fans native H3 resolution seems okay and H3 can still be easily launched on newer systems (unlike H1 and earlier MM games). So that the reason for the said HD RoE is definitely weak if we don't speak about the money. Ubisoft already had a major fail with Watch Dogs which was positioned as the top game of the century but was forgotten right after the release. Same rumors go for the new part of Assassins Creed, don't know for sure.
If it was a MM1 remake to a something like MM10, then yes, it would make a real lot of sense. In general, MMX Legacy inherited many MM1-5 features and thus deserves a right to exist.

Well, the point of the video was about HD remake, and he gave very nice explanation why it is only money grabbing.

Yeah. It's actually a really a common misunderstanding that the HD mod does little more than adding support for higher resolutions. It's at least a very important aspect that is often forgotten/ignored when people make direct comparisons between the new HD edition and the HD mod.

Thanks Adrius...the man knows his stuff.
One thing though, at the last, he makes the point that maybe the best idea of this remake is to bolster a sagging franchise but then says don't buy it. <L> Not sure how they fit together but I guess that would translate; let the new players provide new life and the old vets should save their cash. I'm supporting that view anyway and will hope Marzhin has an impact with H7.
Lost the source code? That is <fill in the blank>.

Is it possible to create a random map in H3 Complete and use it in H3 HD remake? It hasn't worked for me. Maybe it is due to H3 Complete having assets from the expansion packs, which the remake doesn't support? Is there a way in H3 Complete to create a random map using only assets from RoE? I don't see any settings in H3 Complete to specify RoE random map only.

It works, you have to specify RoE format in the New Map-dialog (because the differences between the formats goes far beyond assets). The thread below this one is for a tool which directly integrates H3 Complete's RMG into the game so that you do not have to use the Complete Map Editor separately, also has a video of how it works: http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=41033

In the future, standard Wine should be available for Android as well. So you would be able to run even more M&M games on your Android tablet/phone.
