I have windows 8
I think i got wog from torrent or someting I cant remember. I just have all the files contained in a folder, i didnt install it (effectively same thing either way)
anyway, Have you tried compatibility stuff? I didnt have any problems with wog it work perfectly with me but some other games do not work as intended or never work unliss i right click the application and change the properties, making compatability to windows XP service pack 3 or anything i wanted.
try that and see what happens

actually, what I meant was copying them from Hard Disk/or whatever into my computer exactly how they were arranged. I did not arrange them or anything
they already are in a folder which contain all the files arranged as necesary, something like:
C:/Users/...Games/Heroes.3.wog.incl/Heroes.3.wog/Heroes 3
and this folder has:
the game application files (Wog, shadow death, etc)
another folder for maps
another folder for save games
and other stuff
and by the way, the path is not this / slash, but i just couldnt write the other one lol
