Had to vote for Haven to break the 3 factions tie-up.
Besides, I do not think that I will, dislike or prefer more any of the game's factions, so far and, of right now.
The wolf duchy looks way more interesting than the griffin duchy for cause that the canine will always be man's best friend, not some oversized four legged predator of the skies.

Personally, I like the Spider theme, but the presentation is the key - the Spider theme looked much better in games like Dark Messiah or even Heroes Online - it's really strange how they can't get it right in the main game.
What I don't understand is why they're reusing H6 creature icons of all things - they have really great H7 artwork for Ghosts, Liches and Lamasus and they go for H6 icons of them - why?
Well, to be honest, on the H7 site almost all Necropolis seems incomplete - some icons are too grayed out, not to mention that upgrades don't aling properly with basic units. I'll be angry if it's like this in the final game.

Haven/knight/castle is my overall favourite faction in Heroes franchise aand the one from M&M: Heroes 7 really suits me. Units are pretty, some of them are really cool and their designs belong to the best, if not the best, in all the series. Ts is nice, better than in HoMM 4 and HoMM 5 (and maybe than in HoMM 3 cause I do not like landscape, although I like much less its architecture)
Other factions also seem to be really nice. Academy is nteresting but I am not great fan of its oriental nature- like more its more HoMM 3 & 4 version (so strongly european)
Sylvan can be great, everything supports that but without seeing the whole ts and units I cannot say more how good it is and if it will be the first, second or last faction that I will give chance. same Dungeon
I have mix feelings towards Necro. Not awful but have seen better version of it
And I am not big fan of Stronghold so rather not change my mind about it
