Heroes 8 and Modding of Newer Factions
How about making an entirely new type of might and magic heroes game that allows adding totally different factions to the already 8 classic factions that we, all, came to love in adoration or in hatred?
So, adding way more randomness at what factions will be implemented in every generated game's map. Obviously, the larger the map, the more chances that your new added modded faction-towns will get to appear on such newly generated game-map.
Therefore, instead of being stuck at only 8 player assigned towns(especially for localized, offline, squirmish, AI players), you could decide to make a whole 16 towns XXX-Large map(underground is, obviously, chosen). It was possible for me to see that happening in the Impossible map size option of the RMG of MMHeroes5:T.o.t.E.
That way, you get to keep the original factions-towns and, just plainly add more factions-towns up to the limit of 16(8 + 8 modded ones).
