I suppose dreadknight should make “Small bugs” section in Reference Manual with reference that Chain attack applied on Imperial Griffin automatically crashes the game if Imperial Griffin tries to use Battle Dive while under Chain attack ability. Also, In Irina’s case, Chain attack applied on basic and Imperial Griffin.

To be clear, the bug is confirmed only with "Chain Attack with Stunning Strike".
I haven't tested "Chain Attack" only; it likely works as I suspect this bug has to do with the stunning effect.

To be even more clear I wouldn’t have written that if I didn’t do some testing first.
The bug is consequence of using Battle Dive while under Chain attack ability

Well, you should've said that while posting above... Anyway, interesting, I wonder why it's bugging out like this.

Hello guys, need some help pls.
HoMM3 and H3:HotA player here. I'm planning on trying HoMM5 for the first time so I ask, should I even bother playing without mods first or just go straight for 5.5?
Is it too broken for campaigns? (Actually I dont really care too much for campaigns, I'm fine with custom games but I would like to know if it's playable)
Also I got confused which version is more stable and recommended: RC9 or the newest RC10beta?

After the 3.1 patch is successful, I went to the website and downloaded the latest version of the 5.5 mod. However, the download doesn't seem to be verified and I can't even run the installer let alone usinf the run as admin option as stated in the video guide. Not even following the video guide and saving it on a destination rather than running it straightaway worked. The installer is not even recognised/verified and it led me to the "Use this program to open function".
Any idea why?

@tzening
I do not know versions of Windows higher than 7 but this sounds like Microsoft or your Antivirus doesn't trust it or something, you should have an option to greenlight it somewhere.

Personally I would recommend go straight to 5.5.

They're almost two different games but I'd go straight for 5.5. It's a lot less frustrating in Campaign mode and more fun in Multiplayer IMHO.

Yes, of course!
Use the RC10 Beta 4 (the last release). It is named beta but in retrospect it should've been a normal release. There is nothing "beta" about it; it's solid. @magnomagus would tell you the same...
Enjoy!

Hi guys! I just registered the forums, but have been lurking for a while .
I have been playing H5.5 for about a month and just love it so hard,
it has become my favourite Heroes for now, I feel the skill wheel, magic system and units have been balanced and all the new stuff is awesome.
I want to report a bug which happened to me a few days ago, I was playing the map "Rise to power", 6 secondary skills, FFA against computers in Hard, I was playin Haven, with Isabel as my main hero. All worked flawlessly until I got Logistics with Isabel, the logistic bonus seems to be lost for her, also when a Witch wanted to teach me Leadership having 1 secondary slot free(got 5 of 6), I accepted but it wasn't learned, nevertheless, I leveled up and picked up Leadership with no problems. Because Isabel was a bit bugged, I decide to make my main hero the one which was governor, and no problems happened until the end of the game despite of bugged Isabel. The thing is that I won the map, but the map is never finished, it is in a limbo of endless turns for me right now .
I forgot to mention I won the map because I managed to find the Tear of Asha with Isabel(A bit tricky one with just two puzzle pieces ), I am not sure if this was the trigger of the bugs. I tried opening the save with the Utility exe, but it did nothing.
If I can help sharing the save or something, just tell me.
Great work!!!

Hello Kinka,
Welcome to the community!
How did you know that Logistics bonus is not applied?
The second issue is already known you can read about it in the FAQ. The hero cannot fill the last hero skill slot by visiting Witch hut. It can be done only via level up.

Sorry for not reading the FAQ enough about the Witch hut!
I had Expert Logistics with Pathfinding, but another secondary hero with just Basic logistics was able to go further than Isabel, also the stables bonus wasn't showing the message of extended movement bonus for her.
I don't know If I'm missing something here which can affect logistics but my new main hero with no logistics walked the same amount that Isabel with full logistics and for sure the never ending map is a thing!
Thanks for your reply!

Mod still does not work properly under Win. 10 Home v.1709
The game jams on a resolution setting of 1024 x 968.
Had to remove mod and reinstate the initial T.o.t.E. v. 3.1 and, reinstall all of my single mods that makes this edition of Heroes 5.
Mod. version RC10 beta 4.

Maybe the logistics issue was caused by the water walking boots, otherwise there are no known issues with logistics and such issues must have pre-dated the mod.
Quote: The game jams on a resolution setting of 1024 x 968.
Well I guess we are lucky then, you were the last person in 2018 still playing on that resolution.

Come on, Windows 10 and 1024x968?? How?? Why??
That's like combining two "technologies" that are 25 years apart. In this context, it's like a millenia

You know that learning how to read really helps, right?
I said JAMS as in STUCK in a 1024 x 768 that the game imposes itself upon my PC.
My current native resolution is 1366 x 768 on a LED Television/Monitor of a quality display.
Just finished another Heroes 5 T.o.t.E v.3.1 with plenty of mini mods and took only 5 weeks on a Small maps to win it.
