I read it as "being quick and numerous makes enemies unable to counterattack. IIRC H4 said something like that too and while H5 doesnt outright say it's a swarm of sprites attacking, it mentions too their small size when referencing the "no retaliation" passive

All these is in manual. There are two separate descriptions for Pixies and Sprites. Sprites are "so quick, that enemy can't retaliate" (sorry, my manual is not in English).
EDIT:
HoMM5 said: Their [Pixies] swift attacks can hit more than one creature, and their small size and speed make retaliation impossible.
EDIT2:
HoMM3 said: L'attaque des fees [Sprites] est si rapide que leurs ennemies n'ont jamais le temps de riposter

From the English manual:
Quote: Pixies & Sprites
Within the land of Antagrich, Pixies and Sprites have found a home within the walls of the Conflux. These flying creatures are usually found in large numbers and possess great quickness. Sprites strike so quickly, they prevent their enemies from counterstriking.
So it's because of their speed.

Quote: In combat, Sprites can also spread “Pixie Dust”, a form of pollen that causes the enemy to itch, sneeze and cough, preventing him from retaliating.

Both these are on the pixie page, looks like they cant decide themselves.

Yeah, couldn't they just have decided to keep the comment about them being small and swift and skipped out on the rubbish about pollen.
Quote: The Oak Dryads have such a close relationship to Treants that Mother Treants can literality offer their own lifeforce to them, allowing them resurrection.
This
Quote: “As Dryads are spirits, it is very hard to destroy them for good. Like Nature itself, I suppose…”
and this makes me believe that as some have suggested Mother Treant
is one of the Warmachines of Sylvan and that they can resurrect
Dryads. It's probably the Sylvan ''Healing tent''.

From Sylvan TS page:
Warfare Units
Garden Of The Sacred Seed: Allows to recruit support warfare unit.
Archery Platform: Provides the town with 3 towers in siege combats.
Blacksmith: Allows to recruit attack warfare unit.
I wonder what will be the catapult.

I agree with what others have said here: Blade Dancer model is a positive surprise, Dragon is pretty disappointing. Generally though, the models look really good.

- Hunter looks great but the ear twiching is a bit too much. Brings to mind a donkey trying to shake off flies and I really wish I was not reminded of the embarrassing H5 donkey ears.. The upgrade shooting two arrows at once looks ridiculous. I hope it's a critical hit animation rather than a regular attack. Why are they so itchy, pixie dust?
- Pixies look amazing. Tasteful, with beautiful colours. The upgrade is overdone but I can live with that. I hope they will look shorter than the hunter, their model looked rather big in that E3 video. The animation suggests they claw at the opponent? I hope there will be some kind of magical effect, the sprites have never been a physical attacker as that would look awkward.
Regarding balance, I wonder if pixies should not have no enemy retaliation to begin with. Such units tend to be useless unless upgraded which doesn't give you a real choice.
- Dryads are rather beautiful, glad they are not as monochrome as their concept art. But the upgrade is hardly distinguishable from the original.. Have you considered a different tone of colour? You really can't tell them apart from a distance. I'm glad their synergy extends to the mother treant instead of just the champion treant but the fact that warmachines target randomly is.. problematic. Only someone who plans to invest in warmachines or treants can make use of the dryad abilities and that is a real waste..
- Druids are great. Love their agility and swiftness, you can tell they are elven. Nice tasteful dress too. The purple on the upgrade works better than in the artwork which is a bonus. What I don't like are those bright green glowing eyes, they look unnatural.
I like the idea of thorns. Actually, I have long hoped for such effects to be part of the battlefield. Puddles of water, bushes with thorns, mud, frozen ground.. They are less intrusive than obstacles and would make the battlefield feel more organic. Something to consider for an addon?
- The Moon doe is fine apart from the fact that it looks so plain and ordinary.. Being blue is about the only special thing about it. The sun deer looks a lot less special than the artwork which is disappointing. But my real complaint are those awkward attack animations. They are horrible and devoid of grace. Any chance they will be improved? Maybe a solar beam? At this rate laser shooting from their eyes would be a lot more preferable
- Blade dancer is the biggest improvement. Great animation reflecting their mobility, footwork and sword mastery, much better stance. Upgrade is still overdone with too much of everything but.. much better than the artwork. But why so many feathers, they look too much like an Indian. The problem is they do not look like elite units, just like swordbearers do not look like champion units. Perhaps that is because you focus on everything looking awesome to the point that some cores could pass as elites visually. That can make certain elites feel underwhelming.
- The Greed dragon is great, like a rocky brontosaurus with plant growth But the upgrade just looks bad. Face becomes worse. Emerald scales are few and far between. It actually looks more plain than the basic unit! If you want to take away the bushes from the upgrade that's fine but at least make up for it with emerald scales. Make it look majestic to behond, light particles alone cannot do that!
- Treants are my absolute favourite and I did not even care about them at first! Simply amazing! But the upgrade is plain atrocious. So much lightshow hurts my eyes!! Seriously, just drop the blue glow altogether. The huge bubbly light particles too. Very distracting, they ruin an otherwise amazing unit. The longer tusks, denser branches and leaves of a deeper green are enough.

Constructs (golems, gargoyles, colossi), fellow sprites, Treants... plus potentially the entire Necropolis faction (with particular attention to skeletons and Grim Riders)...

Living organisms sneeze and don't retaliate. Constructs, undead etc don't retaliate because of quickness. How's that?
What? You can't blame ashan for that, with the said explanation? Oh ok.. Sorry, ignore and keep on
