Well, if the game was shut down, it probably has its reasons. It is still a shame it got disbanded, though.

Well, I was lucky to have saved the email-adresses of some people. I sent out a mail and here is 1 reaction which says it all: "Wow, holy snow ! I actually searched for this sometime ago to see if it would be brought back, as all the other games of the type are total snow. Gladly I still have saved about 20 emails, I’ll forward."
Also the fact that 90% of the players kept playing the game with each new world is a very good indication that this was a top-game. If you talk about strategic, this was really the ultimate game.
So let us hope that the negotiations will succeed.

Dunno, I played the game awhile, and although it was decent, I never could've been at peace with rock-paper-scissors system being in the heroes game. Anything would have been better than that.
There was a good amount of browser games that used the same system at the time - it's not a bad system, but for heroes theme?
Hmm, maybe I'm going full hardcore-fan and all heroes must look alike (or is that common sense? )
Idk, I think ppl played it because it was bearable enough and wasn't much time consuming. It was a mediocre spinoff, tbh.
I couldn't be bothered to just petition it's resurrection, that'd be pointless, but maybe with some massive rework in plan it could get to a certain height... buuut, not without a rework, and there's another problem: some ppl like the r-p-s system..
I'm really not sure why can't we have a good MMO spinoff for heroes franchise, it doesn't sound that hard to do..

I played it for couple years, but I don't really miss it. It was a total pay-to-win game, especially towards the end it just felt like devs tried to milk the dying cow. And the clumsy Macguyverisms you had to do essentially circumventing(read: breaking) the rules for grail-army up-keeping...

I am curious, how did that work? I am not familiar with the game I have no clue if this refers to units, skills or something else.

I think he means that cavalry gets a 50% attack-bonus over archers, archers a 50% bonus over infantry and infantry a 50% bonus over cavalry.
So if you are going to attack and your main stack is infantry, it's not wise to attack archers.
It turned out that most players focused on building large stacks of 1 or 2 tier 5 or 6 groups. Because if you build average troops of all tiers, you would easily been beaten by someone with 1 big stack. For example: Djinn Sultans or Rakshasa's were very populair. (tier 7 was to expensive to build a large stack)
