My point exactly. If you already have the functioning 3D models with a set of 5-6 animation then 95% of the animating work is already done. Only minor modifications are needed at that point, basically just moving the skeletons a bit differently.
All that would really be needed to be done is to make a hitboxes for the diffenrent unit sizes(max 3-4). That way melee hits would contact on hits instead of the waving-yazzhads attacks some of the units(strider, genie, dryad, etc) have.
Same with the being hit animations. One for being hit in melee by large unit, another for being hit by a small unit and one for ranged attacks.
This ofcourse needs anatomic knowledge as well as 3D animating skills and if there is nooe in the team with these skill then I understand this seeming like a daunting task. But there are capable people out there. Hire them as freelancers on a 6 month contract to do the job and by the time the first expansion comes out it will be done.
If this doesn't happen then I don't know if there is any point in doing expansions at all.

Maybe not but ask the community if they'd rather have a cool, recognizable mythological creature or a creepy construct mime and you'll reach your conclusions. Or a shiny blue bambi for that matter.

Oh really?
Poll made down the Shadow Council, look how popular Strider is.

I love the addition of does/stags,gives sylvan a breath of fresh air, and those creatures are as mythlogical as the unicorn(which is prese t as a mount). Maybe not that popular. Why fall into the cliche of the elves+unicorn?
Also the striders are a terrific idea but they should be only amongst faceless. The fact that a minotaur, is considered a fit unit for a stealthy, darkness faction surpasses me and any logic.
But on this one the man is right. No universal truth to these matters, indeed. You got your medusas and minotaurs. Don't be greedy

No you're right ChrisD1, Minotaur and Medusa looks odd mixed with Strider and Faceless.

It should have been a 100% enroth line up,with a new faction behind it. I wouldn't object one bit. I'd even enjoy it.Bring all those fellas back,i don't care, but don't mess with consistency.
This is half of faction we got here, but the new fans got super hyped:/
Still someone might like it. No poll will prove otherwise.
Once we are here the legionaires should not have that big of a movement range. I mean why???

And I repeat again, any glitches, however, are not a subjective thing. Glitches are mistakes and are subject to be fixed.
Are turn animations of e.g. the Dire Wolf in Haven, where it just magical shift 180 degrees in a blink of an eye a bug/glitch or something you don't know how to make better? How did that pass testing?

Some units definitely have bad animations, especially regarding attack and hit impact. I mean within Haven function there's a great animation for Cavalier's strike with burning spear and the like, next to zero-impact Seraph attack. Skeletons have a preoperly animated sword attack, while vampires just wave hands in thin air.
This ispecially visible with certain spells and missile attacks. Projectiles from Abbot and Cabir at least have a sense of strength behind them, while Medusa and Lich are just playing volleyball with purple nothingness. Arrows also look blurry, like a cloud of smoke.
The worst, however is reaction to attack. Most units just do a minor shrug and remain stiff as a log. If it's too costly to make the animation at least it should be possible to have an "impact" effect like a red blob in Heroes 5.

Yes, it was a bug. It appeared to be a copy-paste error in the code (my god I hate those). It won't make it to the upcoming patch, but the one after that. Needs to go through testing

As stealth faction, probably no. As underworld greekish cavern faction, they do, along the Troglodyte.

I think heart of the matter is no one asked for Dungeon to become a "stealth faction" in the first place. People loved how this faction felt in original games, there were no complains here. Then, you guys are right saying the "mix" is bad for both, why split a faction like this, is what to me lacks logic. Faceless, Strider, along Dark Elves, belong elsewhere IMO

I think that Faceless could have been better implemented in Dungeon faction. I personally favour the concept presented here (clicky). Such model reminds me of mothman or something similar. Thus, I believe that such (sinister-like) creature could have found its way into the ranks of the original Dungeon.
