HoMMdb.com - a new map and mod sharing community
Hi!
As some of you already know, I've been working on a website for MMH7 map and mod sharing, and just recently opened it up to the public. Despite all the negativity around the game, I'm enjoying it very much and hoping this will get more people to play and maybe even inspire them to make content themselves. Now I don't really like self-promoting (and excuse me for not being an active contributor here), but since this seems to be the most dedicated heroes community (sorry the pun) around, I thought getting the word out here would help the site have some quality content.
So please, if you have any H7 content to share (maps, mods, content packs for map makers), join up the site and upload your creations for other visitors to download. 3LiON and Valen-Teen have already kindly submitted their first files 
The site has some features I think are quite necessary for a community site like this, such as:
- The uploaded info and files can be modified and updated
- Comments, ratings and download count
- The minimap hidden by default (!)
- User profile management
Of course I'll keep on updating and adding features, currently I'm working on the system to browse content by author, map size, player number, etc.
Hopefully you like the site, I'd gladly hear your feedback and ideas

Good initiative  It will be handy to have the fan mods hosted in one place. And eventually, maybe combat replays

i'm curious too. if the website is only used for newer heroes games, i'll definitely not be using it.

In fact, HoMM lacks such a website in general. For some reasons people don't use ModDB, and the only hope for H3 for example is Salamandre's website. But it lacks design, unfortunately - so the more mirrors, the better.

I'm planning to do that very soon yes. All the other sites do have quite a headstart (at least regarding map amounts) but like you said, I don't think HoMM really has quite a db site like this one, especially for mods. And the series definitely deserves one

I think you really should add a possibility to comment without registration. Disqus or Cackle. It will help to gather more feedback about maps and mods.

Added this feature just earlier today . Had to do some spam-protecting first but now I believe it's working ok.

I will make a duel map, once this game is patched enough. Kind of a necessity, considering how restrictive the duels currently are. Not sure if the map editor has all the options for me to make one though.

I propose this thread gets QPed and stickied. We need an official community go-to database and this seems a very good candidate. Also, glad to have you TM, stick around and keep up the good work.

If I ever get the game you can be damn sure I'm gonna make a dick-map about dicks. there also better be dick-shaped maps by then. or I'm gonna be mad

Sometimes I don't understand you, kiryu...
Kiryu moves in mysterious ways.
And if he wants to upload a dick-map to this website, why not?  As long as TM approves, it shoulnd't be a problem (but maybe add a category on that site for..."projects" such as those...)
