What would be your best Sanctuary line-up? Since I like it in H6 and it is newer, I don't know for sure what I'd really like to change and what I'd like to keep the same.

That's a tough one. Personally, I'll keep it mostly the same.
Core
Kappa
Kitsune
Mermaid
Elite
Hippocampus
Yuki-Onna (my all time favorite creature)
Naga
Champion
Kirin
Krakinos
Although, I'd personally like to varying between it.

But still, it looks good. Although, what about necropolis?
I wanted to just link to my factions and be done
coming here:
Necro:
Skeleton (no upgrade), Wraith, Were-Bat
Revenant (possessed armour), Arch Lich, Dread Knight
Bone Dragon
The bat is the vampire, however I have trouble finding a fitting name as I imagine them more beastly and more like were-bats than humans now. It's also as, if not stronger, than the revenant however the revenant is the gateway creature to the late-game.

Well sorry...
But my problem with the werebat is that it lacks the undead feel somewhat. Although as a feral vampire they could work, but preferly as elite. Not that it is impossible considering that I use two-champions.

Mediczero said: Seems okay, but Honestly there is a few of your ideas that bugs me.
Why is the goblin riding a lynx of all things..? Why not wolf? And wouldn't it be more logical to have a harpy witch instead of a witch owl. The idea seems wierd. And is there really any reason for the Wendigo over behemoth..?
And what is a "Genus Loci" to be fair..?
Also, doesn't it make more sense to have Djinn elite and roc as champion..?
And lastly, why not just call it a "Grim Reaper"?
But the forest shepherd idea is cool.
SHUT UP PLEASE!
Give mythology creatures a chance, not only Medusa, Harpy and MInotaurs, Ankou, Witch Owls (named Lechuza) and Wendigo are also mythology creatures, and they make far more sense than your stupid, overused boring been-there-done-that boring freaking ideas.

You are really bad mannered...
The underline shouldn't be what is leasted used, but logic.
Behemoth makes more sense with the powerful melee champ/arttilery champion combo than the wendigo, there a plenty of other ideas that makes way more sense, is less bizarre, and more classic and iconic than the witch owl if we speak stronghold spell casters, and the Ankou is basicly a matter of naming, were as I perfers the logical and classic solution.
A lot of lesser known creatures are lesser known for good reasons. They're too bizarre.

1) Grow some fantasy
2) Grow some intelligence (they aren't lesser known for good reasons, they are less known because the wolverine-generation (especially Americans) are just lazy snows that only watch soccer/football and can't think further than the same old boring overused crap.)
3) Grow some sense in variety.
Behemoths don't make sense, they are the biggest land creature ever, while Behemoths in HOMM aren't that at all.
Everybody these days knows the semi-well-known mythology monsters such as Succubus, Wendigo, Peryton, LEucrotta, Ahuizotl and Ankou.
If you don't know them and call them bizarre, but you do accept things like Kappa and Behemoths you are too insane to exist.

And you clearly haven't heard of the Wendigo.
Which is not only the scariest monster from mythology, but also one of the most powerful ones, the HOMM Behemoth doesn't stand a chance against one, Wendigo are highly intelligent and kill mindless creatures such as the behemoth for sport, the behemoth would die without even knowing what hit him.

Now you're just assuming things. I'm well aware of the wendigo, and most other creratures, but you doesn't seem to understand that I'm not the least ****ing bit interested, no matter how all "powerful" it is.
You cannot compare everything, especial not a legendary, almost godlike monster to a creature in a videogame, which you should note isn't fully respentative of the original version.

I'm just saying that putting the Wendigo on Champion level isn't insane. It makes sense.
But you keep hanging around in the boring D&D DRagon, Wolverine, Overused boring snow world of yours, then I will keep exploring the unknown.

And I never said otherwise, I simply said I perfered the Behemoth for reason I have stated.
You might go to where the **** you want, I don't care. You lack of respect almost doesn't make you worth dealing with.

You are a human, what do you expect? You are replaceable, I only respect humans that earn it, and they are rare indeed. Otherwise i'm pretty neutral.
And you talked to the guy that wanted the Wendigo in Stronghold with a commanding tone, which annoyed me. And I think lowly of humans that hate Wendigo's and other obscure myth. They can lick the back of my boots.

Okay, nice lineups, but what about Haven/Stronghold/Academy..?
Also, would like to add two things about Necropolis:
Firstly, my ideal of the necromancy skill would be to raise a number of standard undeads, meaning not just skeletons, but also ghosts and possibly zombies if they're included. Makes the most sense to me that way.
Secondly, wouldn't it sound better to call them vampire mistress or vampire countess...? But I agree, female vampires are the best!

I dont care that much about those factions XD so think their H7 lineups were perfect tbh.
I was talking in the supposed case that Necro skill was like H3 or 7 ofc but i agree with you.
I used Lordess because thats the term used for Ludmilla, not because i like it a lot XD
I also really like your Sanc lineup, although if a Cove faction happened, id move the greek creatures there

While I like Dwarves (and yes, H5 HoF Fortress as well!) I hesitate on making a Dwarf-only Heroes faction, I am far too much of a Tolkien fan and the main thing for me is that they shouldn't be enemies or neutral to the Elves but allied, even if they're different races, et cetera.

But..... They weren't allies in Lord of the Rings. How many dwarves showed up to help? How many were seen in the whole movie/heard of in the books? I think there were only three, and only one of those helped in the fellowship. So the only time dwarves and elves are seen co-operating are:
A. The uneasy alliance the dwarves of Erebor had with the wood elves. Born out of mutual benefit, no real friendship or desire. Plus the elves left the dwarves to die when they were most needed. And later the same elves tried to capture Erebor by force after the dwarves had dealt with the dragon.
& B. The whole three dwarves that showed up to the council to decide what to do with the ring. And while Gimli and Legolas became friends near the end of their journey, they hated each other at the beginning.
As far as I can tell that is the only proof there is of them being "allies", feel free to prove me wrong if you can.
They are neutral at the very best, enemies at their worst. They only put aside their rivalry in the face of a far greater threat.
