Suggestions for custom battles
I'm scripting a place (some how silimar to the Adventure Cave) where you can fight several battles a day. There will be five levels of difficulty to choose from and the fights will have a supporting hero with custom skills, specialty, spells and maybe enchantments. The number of creatures to fight will grow weekly but the fights in each level will be choosed randomly between several custom battles.
For instance, say that I turn a random hero in to this for an easy battle: basic Archery and expert Air Magic, he only knows the spell Haste and has 30 Master Gremlins, 5 Stone Gargyles, 5 Stone Gargoyles, 12 Obsidian Gargoyles, 5 Stone Gargoyles, 5 Stone Gargoyles, 30 Master Gremlins. His specialty is Archery and he is level 3 with this stats 3,2,2,1.
What I would like to ask you is to suggest other configurations you would consider doable but requiring something from player, knowing that these are the choices he is presented with:
Level 1 - level 1 to 2 upgraded units, weak hero
Level 2 - level 3 to 4 upgraded units, weak hero
Level 3 - level 5 to 6 upgraded units, medium hero
Level 4 - level 7 upgraded and unupgraded units, strong hero
Level 5 - level 8 and special dragons, very strong hero
Rewards will be random and according to level of difficulty but will sometimes (specially in the first levels) include some creatures, so inevitable losses are acceptable but a good player should be able to win the battles without finding himself completly crippled.
If you know ERM and want to include a special terrain configuration, you're welcome.
