Donald Trump's first TV ad touts Muslim ban
Okay, this thread is the real one.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-35227399
Donald Trump is taking to the television airwaves, and his first advert prominently features his controversial call for temporarily halting the entry of all Muslim into the US and a border wall "paid for by Mexico".
The 30-second spot is narrated by a stern-sounding male voice and features grainy images of Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
The advert also includes photos of the San Bernardino attackers, so-called Islamic State militants, a US warship firing cruise missiles, exploding buildings and undated footage of migrants purportedly crossing the US-Mexican border.

sounds like a pure propaganda piece. i'm sure it'll sell well with all the dumbasses who back politics and vote.
you know, it's candidates like these, that make me wonder if the american people aren't deliberately being pushed towards the opposing candidate... kinda like how kerry made bush jr look better.
doesn't matter, anyway. this country was bought and sold a long time ago. it's just business as usual: milk the populace of their money, livelihood, and freedom(yeah, right) however you can; and expand that to foreign countries when possible.

So, America joins Europe in some of its political priorities, at least with Trump. Until now, only Europe had growing parties feed at the immigration well. This will be interesting to follow, as if Trump wins, it will be a powerful and crucial springboard for all anti-immigration parties in Europe.

Wrong timing, and place. See ya in 28000 more years.
Jokes aside, how many politicians remind the people of their abhorred views?
This is usually political suicide, and if this doesn't stump the Trump, well, I think that he will become the president of the United States, no matter how much people don't want him there.

Republicans must be really desperate.
Honestly, the things Trump belches out swirl in the heads of every southern hillbilly redneck 24/7. and those type of people make up at least 90% of republican voters. I think.

i mean.... all the democrats have to hope for is that Trump is elected the republican candidate because then his demo opponent will just have to say "well... i'm not trump " and they'll win in a landslide.

Well, this is a over used trap, select some of the most dumb voters then uncover their stupidity. You can also switch side, select 6 dumb leftist which will repeat in chorus "immigration is a good thing" then show them with proof how dumb they are.

The GOP is currently in the same situation the Democrat Party was in several decades back. Loose coalition of non-Democrat candidates who could just as easily claw each other as the other major party. Democrats are solidly united under the single Clintonian iron throne and don't suffer the disorganization that the Republicans do.
You have your libertarian-esque (Rand Paul), you have your religious right (Huckabee, Santorum), you have your fiscals (Bush, Jindal), you have some nebulously falling somewhere in between, and behind black boxes numbers 1 and 2, you have Carson, who is probably a really friendly guy but otherwise I have absolutley no idea why he's on the podium, and then you have Trump, who looks and acts like a villain in a Robocop movie.

I can't see Trump conceivably standing any chance at all in the general election. If establishment Republicans hate him, the Democrats certainly aren't going to be any different. If he were president, I could very easily see a 3rd US president being assassinated in short order. His rhetoric paints a target on his back. It's true that people like Israel's Netanyahu already behave the same way (punishing the families of terrorists, aggressive profiling, etc), but Israel's racist, semi-stratocracy regime is small and unimportant and doesn't attract the scale of attention the US does.

Assassinate Trump if he gets elected?
That's also a good idea. It will give way to a civil war, which is exactly what some western countries need.

Trump'll never win the general election, and I say that as someone who will have no say in this anyway, and I hope he won't be a candidate to begin with, if he does become the GOP candidate, he'll be like 2016's Barry Goldwater from my pov.
I do know they tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan. But he don't scare easily.

True enough. Still, even if someone agrees with something Trump says he then says another thing which may drive said person away. That with his clear narcissism and lack of even basic governing knowledge makes me wonder why anyone with logic would support him

What's interesting with old red neck conservatives is that they may be a slowly dying breed, but they still manage to stay strong because old, stubborn folk always vote for the same crap, all their god damn lives, while younger people with more inclination for change and new stuff are often more confused and spread their vote to third and fourth parties and etc.
Pretty much, even if the rest of the Republicans don't want Donald Trump, they'll stick with him because they know they just can't afford any kind of division. What if they kick him out and Donald goes on a self created party? Truth is, they can't afford any kind of division whatsoever, not even 1 % of their voter base.
The whole situation makes me laugh

Like my father says: "He talks to the belly of the population"
And it's true, he's the Berlusconi of the US, and that's the reason I think he'll get elected, Americans don't know what a businessman in power will do.
Or maybe I'm wrong and he's actually the best possible choice.
One thing is sure, he's darn funny (Berlusconi used to tell jokes at speeches...).
