Worf was the man. He didn't like sex with human females because they couldn't handle him, if you get my drift

Happy Birthday to Brent Spiner
Data was much more interesting than Picard or Riker for me. He lived up to the hype for me, unlike them.

He was with no.17 in my first Star Trek chewing gum sticker I bought around 1990. My favourite character from TNG.

Remembering James Doohan, best known to Trek fans as Scotty in Star Trek: The Original Series, on what would have been his 96th birthday.
Interesting, phe, although it's been a while since I watched that series.

I saw it this morning on YT. I had not seen it before. As I read it is only since one week ago available as full movie.. I used to watch Star Trek long time ago and today this one...I suffer a bit halomania recently... I played Halo1 and 2...read 2 books and 2 comics... Propably I do not suffer so much to buy xboxone and Master chief collection for 400€ to play Halo 3,4 and 5...fortunately there are some more books...

I've been watching a lot of DS9/TNG scenes on YouTube lately, not in any particular order. I remember Star Trek: Enterprise being broadcasted on TV here, but I didn't actively follow it.
I should get the DVD's sometime, they'd look good in my collection. I'm not one who likes to download/torrent/stream everything, I prefer a physical collection. The only Star Trek I have so far is the 2009 movie and its 2013 sequel. Do you think they are good, DD?
DrakonDeus said: The movies are more epic in scale than the shows, though I still prefer the shows by a slight margin to the best movies, which I consider to be:
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock combined, especially thanks to the themes discussed, the characters and last but not least the action, and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
Haven't seen any of the TNG ones though, and I rank 2009 Star Trek, The Final Frontier (V), The Motion Picture (I) and The Voyage Home (IV) below those three, and Into Darkness last.
never mind
What are your thoughts on the upcoming film Beyond?
My Star Trek viewing history, and thus my knowledge, is extremely limited. I don't think I ever watched a full episode of any series.

I liked the 2009 film alright, but "Into Darkness" I didn't enjoy. Maybe it was entertaining to the casual movie-goer, but to some Trekkies like me it was painful to watch their poor attempt to recreate The Wrath of Khan.
I'm waiting to see what this third entry brings to the franchise.

Check Solaris. Not the remake, the original by Andrej Tarkovskiy.
Back to this, having seen the original Solaris in the meantime, I have to say I loved it.
Three years late, I know, but the thread has been "bumped" already.
