Yes if they move forward (and I don`t mind scraping Ashan completely).
Yes if they leave Erwan behind.

Voted "no ubisoft and erwan cant make a good game"... Homm 7 was disappointing...
I would buy a Remake of h5 HD... But h7 dissappointed me on all lines (skillwheel, opness of some skills, Balance, ai dumpness, crashes in the beginning etc.). Hope is gone for that series - i stay on h3 - h5

Options here overlap with each other and thus this can't be answered accurately. For instance, I will buy H8 if it's good, so that's a "maybe" I guess. I also believe that Erwan can't make a good Heroes game, so that's a "no" if game is developed with current team. I also believe chances of getting a good game will be better if franchise is sold to another company, although I know that's not a guarantee in itself. So already I'm covering three different answers here.

If the situation stays the same during the development of Heroes VIII, then likely not. That includes the Heroes' development team, Ubi being too greedy and making stupid choices and having an experienced development studio, which had played Heroes games before.
Demanding? Yes. But that's at least a start not to get a bad game.

And this is exactly why I wrote my answer above and voted "I don't know", because ultimately that's all it boils down to.

The only thing H3 HD did good was cleaning up the UI by redrawing it, the sprites and tiles all look a lot worse.

If it follows the path of H6 and H7, hell no! If it is a good game, I will. However, I doubt Erwin and friends are capable of delivering good heroes game.

My empty answer is "I don't know". I don't know if, until then, I'd be hyped to play such game again. If it stays with Ubisoft and the current people responsible for it, I won't even glance back.

If Erwan and his minions remain at the helm of the next installment, I think it will go down in history as even worse than H7.
Still, if they change the team and put someone at the head with a proper vision of the game and get a developer who is given enough funds to really build something ... then yes, they might resurrect the dead horse.

A lot of things need to happen first before we get a good Heroes game. As Ubi's proved they can't make a good Heroes, the first step of many is to seel the IP to someone better equipped to handle it.
