Vacuum – Six Billion Voices. I like some of Swedish group Vacuum's songs. They have a Duran Duran vibe about it. This one especially.

I wanna:
a) lay by a lake in Norway
b) walk through Swedish fields of green
c) see the forests of Finland
d) sail on a boat on the Baltic sea
e) feel the Russian winter
f) go to my Polish grandmother's home
g) see Hungarian lanterns
h) walk on a road that leads to Rome
i) lose myself in the Scottish highlands, the West coast of Ireland, the Cornish breeze
j) rest my bones in the Spanish sunshine, the Italian coastline is calling me...
I have about 30 years to do this.

I discovered a new forgotten pianist, Phineas Newborn Jr. He's real good but not great. I went back to Herbie Hancock, listening to Watermelon Man for the six hundredth time.

It's really annoying that you can't find the Beatles originals on Youtube. You can find almost any band but not the Beatles. I bought all their albums back before the internet, they were incredibly good. But now, if I feel like linking any Iron Butterfly or Guns n Roses song, Youtube says bring it on, if I feel like linking the Beatles though...
Rubber Soul, Revolver... I will listen to full albums, snow you Youtube!

marilyn manson - snake eyes and sissies
going through the whole "portrait of an american family" album. it, and antichrist superstar, are by far his greatest work. "portrait" sounded SO different until trent got his hands in the mix. which reminds me. i have to start transferring the uncut/unedited work to disc for my cousin...
mm - misery machine
this version sounded quite different back in the "spooky kids" era. thank god for trent reznor.
...this snow gets me so jazzed. nobody needs coffee to wake up in the morning. all they need is some great tunes at max volume.

So, some now long forgotten Turkish guy, gets in the studio in 1973 with his band, records these songs that mix the funk/blues sound of those days with Anatolian folk, in one single live session. In 2007, a French record company called Finders Keepers discovers the LP, reissues it and it suddenly becomes a thing in Europe and now the guy is playing gigs to his fans in Netherlands and so on. He really does a good job mixing 70's funk to Turkish folk and it's so much fun to listen to this:
