And Michael Jordan also?
The guy on The Oatmeal pinpointed it pretty exactly with this quote: "I'm starting to suspect that George R.R. Martin is the author behind 2016."

And already that nutjob Alex Jones and his cronies are blaming it on "chemtrails".
Also, George R.R. Martin always rigs the death pool.

Who else is overdue?
lemme see, Betty White is 94
Kieth Richards is 72
Gene Hackman is 86
There prolly some live-fast-and-die-young types that are on deathwatch though the kids would know more about that.

Keith Richards is probably 20 years overdue with the amount of coke he snorted.

Eventually we will all be dead as well.
Prince was an idol to many, though. It's quite a difference when a celebrity dies compared to some homeless guy without a family in a "third world country". Perhaps it's kind of sad when you think about it, but still true. It can be understood, though. No one really knew said homeless guy, but Prince was kind of well-known in a lot of countries. A lot of people looked up to him, being a really talented musician and using his fame to promote being different, together with other pop icons at the time.
Time takes its toll though. No one lives forever. RIP. And rip "unimportant" people too.
