what u guys think about early game stats items?
what is more important in early game for popular template multyplayer game (jebus/8mm6a/6lm10a/panic/balance/nostalgia and alike)
power/knowledge artefacts or attack/defens artefacts and how they affect early game?

Best artifacts in the early game:
1. Spirit of Opression.
2. Necklace of swiftness
3. Badge of courage (powerful in the endfight)
Items that increases your offense will pay off the most no matter what town you have. Defense is often considered worst to have.
So your list of artefacts will depend based on this ladder:
1. Attack
2. Power
3. Knowledge
4. Defense

boots/gloves could be considered best, 'no moral' is tier1 too, all +1/2 speed arts are game changing too (as far as battles go)
all else is just extra - there might be some + creatures per week arts i might consider worth spending some movement points to get
recanter's would make me spend a turn to get it too i guess, maybe the 'no magic' orb too (:, but if i have a choice of what to get 1st:
a) - movement art
b) - no moral
c) - +1/2 speed
d) - some good tier unit per week (depends on race)
e) - recanters
f) - red orb
and it's turn 1-5 - i'd get the gloves/boots 1st most of the time

I thought he meant from the artefact selection in the start xD. Alas you are right, movement is key although I personally rank red orb as the most important artefact when playing Tower.

Usually not but with barbarians I like +spell duration artifacts. Also +1 knowl +1 power for feet.
