Poll Question:
H7 Multiplayer working for u?
I would like to know how well/bad the technical aspect of the H7 multiplayer really is.... would be appreciated if lots of People participate
The reason i am starting this is that the ubi Support seems to have some Problems to solve my Connection Problems, so i wonder how many People are affected by this, personally i'm unable to connect to the Servers even i haven opened all ports, deactivated Firewalls/antivirus Software and all Kind of other things recommened by the UBI FQ Support, i even tried a LAN Connection...
I know it is working for some people because i can see some games going on so it would be interesting to analyze this

Isn't it bad enough you had to even lower the security system down (like Firewall)? I think that fact alone speaks a lot.

To manualy open ports outside the game is unacceptable for me. Multiplayer is one of the lowest points of HVII for me.

Wow, a helpdesk telling you to lower your security barriers (anti-virus, firewall) just to be able to play online?

Not ecaxtly. He said my Avira would cause lots of Errors on my System but thats it. So i decided to deactivate it, however, didnt help.

A little offtopic, but Avira is not good antivirus.

Ubisoft often goes on a gaslighting campaign against their customers. Saying "you should do this and that" for the game to work better makes you believe it's your fault if it doesn't work.
It's not. It's because they pay little dollar and make their game with a software that isn't good at multiplayer connection in the first place.

A little offtopic, but why? Been using it for years now, never had any issues with it (except for the annoying pop-up every time you boot up your system).

As far as I know, it does not detect a number of viruses (false negatives) and it has a number of false positives. This is based mainly on my experience: I was using avira, and still got infected, switched to AVG and it detected and cleaned the virus immidiately. Also, one of my colleague's field of expertise is IT security (he has PhD in that area) and he did some testing of AVs for some paper, and concluded that Avira performed rather poorly.
I would suggest you to try AVG (I really have good experience with it), but lately it is starting to irritate me with pop-ups offering to upgrade to pro, so it is up to you

According to AV-test AVG and Avira are just as good on protection, but AVG has worse performance (it's bloated):

Anyway, neither should impact multiplayer, but it is normal for support to ask to disable firewall for instance to test if there are any issues. But you should enable it afterwards, no need to risk your system for no use.

Me too, ran it for years and have been impressed by the protection for a free antivirus. Don't know how it is now though, since I don't need antivirus anymore.

Now i have been told that they cant find any mistakes in my logs and that it should work... and that it is possible that the Connection of the others cause the error... well, i really dont know what to do now, i guess i will not be able to Play multiplayer in H7 because of some Kind of Connection Problem that can not be solved, what a pity ):

I see you've got a vote for the first option.
I wonder if that is that Limbosoft butt-kissing-agent who's spreading BS on the steam forums (buttraven). According to his BS, he seems to be the only person in the explored side of the Universe able to play H7 multiplayer without any problems.

If you are still suffering multiplayer synchronization problems, send anything your remember about which creatures and heroes were participating in the battle and if possible also which spells were used to stachalski@limbic-entertainment.de or singleton@limbic-entertainment.de or answer directly in the Steam thread if you have a Steam account.

I also voted the first option *gasp*
The only cinch is that I can't host games myself....my mate has to host games (they can't join my game it seems)
