Poll Question:
Which (non-combination) artifact is the best? (Improved poll options)
I have made a similar poll before, but this time it is with slightly different options, so I hope you will vote again if you voted in the other thread and of course for everyone else to vote.
Note that I don't consider the grail an artifact, so you can't vote for it.
If you don't think any of the 10 artifacts mentioned are the best, post a comment and tell me what you think is the best then.

Id say the best artifacts are:
1. Orb of Inhibition
2. Recanter's Cloak - happy edit.
3. Golden Bow/SoO
4. Tome of Fire Magic (if one has Expert Fire Magic)
But that's just from my PoV.
Edit: Meh removed BotS and EoL, btw Armageddon's Blade is a combined artifact aswell.

Another useless poll style Anil, as even a rare used artifact as sphere of permanence can be way more handy than any tome, in a lot of circumstances. 
A lot of artifacts are local used and can save your ass, while others have wide usage. Of course tome of air is nice, but spirit of oppression is way more handy early game. Only the one who can understand that they are all best and when to use each, can succeed.

Edit: Nvm it says Cloak, it's the PC that is so slow that only half the word gets renewed, my mouse had first been on Vampire's Cowl. xD

Thanks for calling my poll useless Salamandre. I remember you mentioning Spirit of Oppression and Golden Bow last time, but now you mention Sphere of Permanence, which is an okay artifact imo, but nothing more than that.
I guess you are saying there is a lot of good artfacts, depending on the situation and I agree with that, but the point of the poll was to name the best. Personally Tome of Earth, Angel wings, Shackles or Armageddon's Blade would be my number 1, but it's great that multible artifacts could be great depending on situation.

Because you probably don't play maps based on boss pattern. The big guy waiting for you to defeat him in order to pass to the next zone.
Without sphere you can't make it in any decent map, for two reasons: a) AI bosses have tons of shooters and mass dispel and b) mass dispel when force field was cast in that battle causes sudden game crash.
And you make a mistake imo, when you start to compare angel wings with low class artifacts and conclude is better. This is like saying chocolate is better than bread. But you need bread to survive, you won't with only chocolate.
When you get the angel wings, in 99,9999% of maps, the game is won, is the cerise on the cake. Then it requires no strategy at all, you just ...fly. While spirit of oppression, for example, can minimize your loses and sharp your tactics.

I'll have you know Sal that I have beaten every map and campaign I have ever played in Heroes 3 using a trick that is so complex that frankly, I doubt the likes of you could grasp it.

But you could get Angel Wings before Spirit of Oppression and if offered a choice you would probably pick Angel Wings over Spirit of Oppression.
What Angel Wings does is like giving you Expert Wisdom, Expert Air Magic and the Fly spell with 0 mana cost, that sounds great to me, especially if your name is Dessa, Gunnar or Kyrre and are wearing Boots of Speed and Equestrian's Gloves...
Most of the time you will probably get 1, 2 or 3 Spirit of Oppresion before your first pair of Angel Wings, but the wings will (almost) always be better.

Angel Wings are very good, it is shame that I haven't got them for very long time during my H3 career... I have mostly got them from Dragon Utopias. It is shame that a lot of time you don't get many useful from there. For example, when you get something like Angel Bow or Black Orb or Titan Gladius etc, it's like meh... But when you get Angel Wings or Armageddon's Blade etc, it is always eye candy when you see them as reward

I've picked Angel Wings, but in all honesty, Shackles of War are as good, because if you catch your enemy's main hero and defeat him... well, game over right there.
Hard choice, really, but I leaned towards Angel Wings, and - unknowingly - took this poll to a tie between AW and SoW
