Poll Question:
Rakshasa Power

Just an idea in my mind that Rakshasas are relly loyal to Academy and they were used to be the commanders of beastmen army of wizards. So they should know well about their former fellows in armies. They can be good warriors against those stronghold beastmen, and of course, I'm sure it must be very interesting when they facing each other in battle...especially when dealing with their biggest rival: minotaur.

And always willing to see if there's more mods about rakshasas, this is really a nice creature XD

Well, pushed wrong button and made this one a poll...sorry

I think they'd make a good neutral. Gameplay wise they're not too different from the basilisk lancers

I like Rakshasas tbh, but I hate that they changed their lore to be beastmen.

Well, I really love the beastmen idea, which gives you more choice than magics or weak human wizards when you playing.

My question was how does lore impact gameplay, but I think I misunderstood your previous post I hate that every new race in Ashan is now beasman. That is beyond stupid.

Come up with a new race that isn't a sort of beastman...

Why to come up with a race, with a perfect explanation? This is from H5:

"Vengeful spirits from a forgotten age, the Rakshasas have lingered on the fringes of Ashan for millennia. Thirsty for revenge, these creatures have been rediscovered by Wizard travellers who - after many unsuccessful attempts - managed to summon and control them efficiently. The Rakshasa Rani are an imposing force on the battlefield, intimidating the enemy with their multi-armed, lion-headed bodies and wickedly sharpened blades. So fearful are their attacks that the enemy is unable to retaliate against them."

Why not make something mysterious and a little unknown? Because of Ashan... It must be created by a dragon or a wizard. There is nothing else...

@Lizard

Nice one

Yeah fair point. We should really get rid of Ashan, start anew. It wouldn't be too much of a problem changing to a new setting every other game, am I right?

Yeah, Rakshasas are pretty cool. I wonder where they get their energy from? It's said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day... so I wonder what they eat for breakfast?

I wish I hadn't asked.

I like Rakshasas very much as well, although they were originally (without mr3lion's scaling mod) too small in H7.

The biggest secret of Ashan revealed!

@Mediczero
That's exactly why I like Ashan or I should rather say why I don't want it to be changed. I don't think it's somehow superior or amazing. But I like when games have some story in common, where you can refer to other (previous/possible future) games in series, where you have something to continue. This is also why I generally prefer series (or films which are like series) to films: I don't want to learn new rules of the world each time, I want to have something I know and I can predict. Then I catch & remember much more things. Furthermore, I'm always very sad when some stories end, but it's not such a big problem for me when I come look forward to their sequels.
