Same here - I realized it too late when the event was over. I got 3dot and he is super defender! I removed him once to see what happens - guess what - my dungeon got steamrolled by even lowies! So I returned it back and now it is much better.
But we are in the second run of those events so just wait and we will get our hand on another bunch of elephants soon
PS: guys - shall I use "he/she" or "it" when I speak about creatures? I know he/she should be used for humans but... can I use it also for animals/creatures? Sorry for this crazy question I just want to be sure And get better with my English.

I think it's fine to use he/she for creatures who are basically humanoids with a distinguishable gender, for example I'd call my Storm Giant a he and the Siren a she. But for dragons, elementals, beasts and other mythical beings I'll use it.

That's what I do too.
Funnily enough, I am writing texts about abstract people for my work and I noticed I tend to use "he" as a default pronoun. Similarly, women I work with tend to use "she". I guess this is some sort of mental bias.

Nope but I wouldn't, I doubt it would do better than a tanky Legendary like Dragon or Giant.

It kinda works only against the full blue teams which nobody is going to run. [Most] Legendaries are just better.
I kill them easily, but elephants with the boss wave buff can oneshot my Siren, which might cause problems in later waves (I've encountered Elephant + Phoenix once, which I lost)

Yeah they might do better than a Lich or Magi for defense but generally when I see an Epic creature in a boss wave I know I could just as well go blindfolded. The boss waves are not that crucial I think, the first two should weaken attacking party sufficiently (be it with casualties or mana, ideally both, well really ideally you don't even make it past 1st wave ) for it otherwise it's just unleash the specials and hop-là up to the next wave.
But yeah, the quest for small high dots creatures is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Sorry Galaad, but with the thing that boss waves are not that important I disagree.
The first boss wave is crucial too in my opinion, cause it can either kill something of if you have a good boss there force the enemy to use up a lot of his mana...which makes the usually strong setable wave 4 a lot more valuable too.
Except for that I agree with your point of view in any other thing

I agree with Lunatic, I am fairly sure I'm winning dungeons only because of my bosses, they either wipe out the enemy team outright or set them for failure on the next waves. But I can see your point, and I very much concur on how the 1st wave can be decisive if set up properly.

Okay, I am putting the guild in charge of punching me in the face next time I complain about my luck.
My current team pleases me to no end.
The Sludge Hulk's 50% PWR debuff is freakin amazing. Also it can be used to detonate my Pheonix's burn for quick, nice damage.
The Pheonix is a powerhouse and really the most important part of my team. It provides probably 60% of my damage by itself.
The Kirin is an amazing (but fickle) healer. It's main use is the 30% Luck buff though. That buff makes the Sludge Hulk's poison/debuff, the Pheonix's burn, and the Tiamat's stun/silence/debuff much, much more reliable.
The Tiamat is the creature that enabled me to take on Stegos (I actually beat a dungeon with two Stego bosses earlier). It has much higher luck than the Treant making it a more reliable silencer, albeit the silence is 1 turn as opposed to 2 from the Treant. However it also has a 4 turn stun as a backup. I don't think I have ever had both fail and I KNOW that they have not both failed when I had the luck buff up. If all else fails it usually debuffs all of the enemies stats by 20% making them hit significantly lighter.
The Hunchback is a safety net in case a creature dies. I left it with the assassin tome mainly to try and minimize the number of times it gets hit and try and keep it alive. I would gladly replace it if something nicer came along though (I think that either the black or yellow Genie would be absolutely perfect to round out my team).
I honestly don't need to check defenses anymore. I completely agree with Galaad, at this point literally the only things I have to fear are the first and fourth waves when my ability charges are empty.
I am currently eagerly waiting for Big P to hit me so I can exact sweet, sweet revenge (assuming he actually shows up in my revenge list, the no shows are really starting to get on my nerves).

Lol Luna it's alright, you don't have to be sorry for disagreeing with me, especially when talking about gameplay related elements, different povs is often more enriching than anything.
Well, that's also what's great with this game, depending on what you got the experience can be different. For me boss waves are the easy part, IF I'm full on mana, which is why I put the emphasis on the other waves as I can get in trouble if those are the strong ones. True that wave 4 can be tricky regarding mana charges, which is why I made it sure my two most important creatures for the fights can get their mana filled fast (stun and nuke). Indeed if wave 5 is for example an awakened Phoenix and I start it with no mana filled up, I have high chances of dying since I can't cleanse the Phoenix, so he can hit me once max else I'm likely to be dead meat.
I do keep the Couatl nevertheless because it's IMO the best healer, curing the whole party without fail, boosting resistance and keeping a small regen for each action to every party member for whole wave, even if it dies!
I will only replace it with a Muse if I find a 3d+ one, and only after I've fully awakened her.

I guess it depends on the team composition. Some teams have high single target nukes, like for example Phoenix teams. My team has a lot of AoE control and it makes it easy on regular waves, even bosses are pretty easy to beat (I can beat any boss), but it takes longer since I lack the damage and as such there's increased chance that one of my control abilities might fail (the silence fails half of the time). It also depends on what creatures you are facing, if you have creatures with low HP, you are more likely to fail to a good first wave, especially if they directly counter you.

My team is very very durable... I run 2 reanimators what makes it extremely hard to get wiped.
And a big thanks to Dulkan at this point, i underrestimated that hyena as hell. Since I switched my light elemental out,the hyena in and rerolled all the combos i can wreck pretty much anything including stego and paladin with this setup.
So I am ready to run Arena today even if I got very hard crushed last night

I have to say I'm getting more and more annoyed at how broken the PVP system is.
- revenge frequently doesn't work. I've been attacked by MadamTusso and Parditop three times today and neither ever shows in revenge. In fact, Tusso never cshows in revenge ever. I've been attacked by her 7 or 8 times this week and she never appeared.
- restarting the game changes the targets offered in the attack tab allowing you to cherry pick your opponents, if you have the time and patience to do so.
- attack is much easier than defense, which promotes waiting as long as possible to attack as you get more prestige from beating higher prestige AND reduce the chance they can revenge on you by attacking so late.
- you don't get any attack protection. I can get attacked by the same guy 4 times within an hour it's ridiculous. At least grant you 12 hours immunity to attacks from the same person.
- but what really breaks the system is the ability to buy challenge points. Especially points three and four are compounded by this. This turns every event not into a contest of who can attack and defend best, but into who can spend the most challenge points before the event ends. At the very least some upper limit of challenges issued per day should be considered. Something like 30-40 per day or so.

The biggest bug I encountered so far is the Phoenix.
Really, it just keeps reviving, healing and my attacking monsters just die instantly, and the siren's heal ain't doing anything about it, she also dies when she heals. Also my forest giants stun doesn't work against the phoenix for some reason..
Phoenix = a bug, if you win with a phoenix you are just happy to have the phoenix as it is a freaking bug and the game becomes too easy with one of those suckers.

I haven't lost to a phoenix in ages. You need to stun it, and it's easy going.
Especially with the Siren. When the phoenix uses his special hold over your creatures portraits. One of them will have a 1 turn burn, the others a 3 turn burn. The 1 turn is what's dangerous, cleanse it off with your siren and the phoenix does no damage whatsoever. Only if he hits your siren with the big hit a phoenix even has a chance to become dangerous in any way.
