WON'T WORK :(
Hello, I've been having trouble with working HOMM3 on my Windows 10 pc. I have the complete edition on a disc. When I try to install it it doesn't do anything when I press install. If anyone knows any solution please tell me! Thanks!

Ok, first of all, I have NO IDEA why this happens, but I had a similar problem.
Before I got back my laptop I lend to a friend, I used my brother's laptop. I installed Heroes III from my Mediafire (Had it bought, and stored in on mediafire in case I lose it) and then I pasted it in a folder. I tried to open heroes3.exe and it just said heroes of might and magic 3 stopped working.
I tried copy-pasting from my stick (again, I did this a thousand times on my laptop and it worked) and the same error. Maybe installing error has to do something with this as well.

Usually not being able to launch h3 means bad install.
As for Win10, I don't use that, but you need to give more info if you want help, I know it's a Might and Magic forum but we're no wizards.
I guess you tried to run it in compatibility mode?

Just gonna do some random suggestions....who knows :-):
1. Did you run it as administrator?
2. try installing on a different computer/laptop and copy the files on a flash drive and copy on your machine. It doesn't need an actual download.
3. Possibly you can download the game from somewhere to install it, and use your cd while playing the game (as soon as the game asks for a cd).
4. It might be you have to change the bits of your pc while starting the file
I hope anything of this works....And else there is most likely someone else around here that knows better solutions

That's becuase Heroes III CDs use an obsolete version of InstallShield for the installer, and that leads to newer systems not being able to run it (as with other games that use same or similar InstallShield builds). One option is extracting all the files from the CDs (CD1 and CD2, in the same folder, if we're talking about the Complete version) and replacing setup.exe with a 32-bit variant.
