this thread is about creepy things. things that bother you. things that, if you think about too much, might keep you up at night. as a kid, we were all afraid of the dark; and the reasoning goes back to our primitive beginnings. that same primitive fear still resides in all of us. take away our technology, science, and everything else that we claim to know, and you have the bare bones of what has made us survive and flourish as a species: fear. it is our natural response to the unknown. think back for a second(if you can), and imagine when you were a kid, and remember when something went bump in the night...
remember how unnerved you were?
those chills?
the hair standing up all over your body?
your rapid heart rate?
creepiness is only the beginning. by nurturing it, you can turn it into fear, and outright paralyzing terror. for now, though, we'll just focus on the creepy. things that go... bump... in the night. or maybe they don't bump, but you know they are there, because you have the bed covers over your head, and know that, as soon as you peek out, you'll see whatever it is(or they are)... standing over you. and then, you're dead, kiddos.
kind of like this:
now, these could be just bloodthirsty madmen who want to murder you and everyone else in your home... or, they could be merely a facsimile of a human, who want to murder you and everyone else in your home...
anyway, let's get to it. first, some more images to set the mood:
nice, huh? now for some stories(i'll hide them under links, because of some of their content):
also, while getting ready to post the above images, i found this. give it a look-see.
i think that'll do for now. i'll come back later with more. if this thread takes off, i'll change the song for every new page.
edit: the music's not working atm. i'll have to fix it later.
edit 2: had to delete some of the stories, as for some reason their sizes or whatever couldn't be handled by postimg.
@ liz: that gif works much better on a phone. if i were afraid of spiders, anyway. i have a good-sized wolf spider running around my home; i let it live to kill bugs. hopefully it does it's job and doesn't end up starving like the others did. should be, she's a fast snower.
@ energyz: sorry about that. must've not checked the "resize" options correctly. thanks for letting me know.
edit: damn. looks like those images just won't take, since they are too wide(or big) for postimg to handle. that's lame.
@ galaad: never seen it; just know of the gifs and images. i haven't watched any thrillers in quite a while.
never heard of it. i usually watch gory movies, and stay away from thrillers(especially supernatural ones). believe it or not, my imagination doesn't need any reinforcement. my head is full of real nightmares that are always trying to destroy me psychologically. my imagination is absolutely my worst enemy.
BTW I see you keep on constantly editing the OP as if you were possessed by Blizzardboy but just FYI nothing changes at all from my side I see all pics fine.
____________
wow, that's some awful stakes there. are you sure you're up to it?
@ galaad: that tinkering is me trying to get the goddamn hidden track to play. did hc lose it's ability to play hidden looping audio tracks? i seem to remember that power being taken away from us... but i can never rely on my memory, as it'll make snow up to fill in blanks.
Galaad said:Lol, to whom were you answering just before?
don't mind me, i'm getting out there. it's my night, and the music i'm listening to is setting my mind into place. the sirens outside are birdsong. it might be time to stretch my legs again, and throw some more shadows around.
