what features would YOU like to see in a NEW Heroes game?
So you've played all the Heroes games, and garnered a pretty deep understanding of the mechanics. You've settled comfortably back into Heroes 3 as the pinnacle experience of the form, and played it to mastery. Now it's time for something fresh.
What features and mechanics would YOU like to see in a NEW Heroes game? These can be elements introduced in 4,5,6, or 7, lost in 1 or 2, or from entirely other games; but ultimately these new features must be justified by making a strong contribution to enhancing the perfection of Heroes 3. Here's a couple good examples by b0rsuk - 1, 2; another might be returning to the story book style of Heroes 1 & 2.

Town Guardian
which is summonned for siege-only time in Capital City.
Like in Disciples II or like my version inside Amethyst Upgrades mod.
It has to be Harder than level 7 unit and came in small quantites (In Disciples 2 there is one creature, in mine there is fancy math based on current month), they disappear after siege, to appear again in new siege.

Maybe waiting for some days for a building to be constructed? Of course, one could simply give out more resources for the building to be constructed in a day.

No need for new features. We need to take all best features from H3, H4 and H5 and combine them with some extra polish. Last time Ubi introduced "new" Ketchup & Mayonese mechanics in H6, it was a fail no one even bothered to test before release.

I would like to see equally useful skills.
Basically the whole skill system comes down to expert slow/haste (appropriate schools) + offense + defense + archery + luck.
I would like to see some of the skills fixed or totally revamped.
I think this is more of a balancing and I may have mentioned it before in other threads but still .
Another thing that I am very curious about (though not sure if possible) is to see heroes 5 initiative system will work if implemented in heroes 3. This also means that haste and slow should be redone from scratch.

What Heroes need is more people sitting down, learning to mod and doing some serious work within all playable versions. A bad idea but playable is worth one hundred of good ideas but nowhere to test them.

A might system that actually requires action of the Might Hero, instead of passively sitting on his mount.

An idea I had once upon a time. What if "your Main" had at least a little adventure magic To use? Besides spells like guard-mine I've always thought it could be fun to cast Haste on a minion Hero so he could ride-on a bit longer or make it back home faster.
A powerful Main might even have a side-kick follow him/her for a while, picking stuff up or scouting ahead and then the Main casts Town-Portal on the lesser.

yeah, this. wishing for something never got anyone anything. you have to work for it.
...or you could just talk about it on a forum, and hope it comes true. it's not like i haven't done that, but at least i(and others) put some work in and improved some things i wanted improved.
..but then, most people didn't have 4 years of downtime like i did.

I made in VCMI some spells like spell granting add. sea or land movement on next turn to hero, or map spells increasing attack/defence of hero until next turn/end of the week:-)
But didn't have much time to play with them and test, if this is good

Personally I would like:
H3 Combat System, H4 hero in battle, H4 spell system, H5 Skillwheel, H5.5 Creature Banks, H5 Memory Mentor, Balanced Faction Skills.
