HOMM4 best game ever created.!?
I think it's awesome game. What do you people think? Can it be the best game ever made?

anyhow, the question is impossible to answer. It's totally dependant on your tastes. A FPS gamer will say no 9/10 times, whereas somebody who is into TBS would be more likely to say yes, and a total HOMM fanatic would say yes even more often.
I would say no, just because my favorite games always seem to be going up and down on my list of what's better than what... I could say H4 is the best game of all time, but in 3 months that could change.

Nope. It is a good game, above average, but not the best game ever, not by a long shot. The numerous crash bugs alone takes it from being the best, not to get into the actual game itself.

War craft 3 is a classic real time strategy game. HOMM4 is step by step strategy and it has so many variables that player can change (artifacts, choice of skills etc) that I think puts it on level higher than war craft or any other strategy game. War craft just a beautiful real time strategy game.

The bugs are annoying, but look at Daggerfall. The buggiest game I've ever played, but still one of the best, and voted by PCGamer as the best game of 1998 (or was it just best RPG? Damn, can't remember) despite the bugs.
I'd say the game, with or without bugs, is excellent. But still, to say it's the best ever is tough.

That's right, Brody, bugs aren't what determine a games greatness. But even so, HOMMIV is far from being the greatest game ever. I think all the previous HOMM titles were better.

don gio you can honestly think heroes 1 is better than 4?
brody i doubt pc gamer voted daggerfall as the best rpg, nevermind best game (halflife won it), unless your talking about the american version.
halt how can you call warcraft 3 a classic when its not even out?

Check out previews. The game will have better graphic and AI but nothing was really changed so it remains what it was. Classic real time strategy game.

No way. I'm a very nostalgic person, and when it comes to fantasy themed TBS, nothing takes away my memories of Master of Magic. Even though HOMM4 might be better than it in just about every respect, MoM was a game I played years ago and in its time, it was just fabulous. Time will not erase those memories. Now unfortunately, I can't even play it anymore. It's DOS, and modern sound cards don't work properly with it.
I wish there would be an updated remake or sequel to it.

First of all I still think war craft 2-3 not better than homm4 no meter what. It’s just different.

it really pains me to say that...
but HoMM4 isn't even close to being the best game ever... a little sci-fi game accomplished that a few years ago... and it's expantion only made it better... in two words, "Power overwhelming"
unless the patch and the expantion (if any) change a few things, HoMM4 just lacks the atmosphere and gameplay... for now, the game is still unfinished

you should buy a new computer, mine has never crashed while playing the game, and I leave kazaa and msn messenger open!!!

Daggerfall was voted for best RPG at least, I'm quite sure of it. It was out before halflife (a couple years actually), so it couldn't have been the same time. Maybe it was the 1996 or 1997 award, can't remember anymore...
But it would have been a USA version, seeing as that's where I live
