of course not. but it's just one of the many positive things that acid does for you. anything that steps us outside of our physical reality is beneficial to us(barring mental illness, of course). but this thread isn't about those other things. it's about what you find when you go down(up) the rabbit hole.

But you're the one who brought these other things up in your argumentation, you can't just go and accusing me of derailing the thread when I was replying directly to your point.
But OK, enough off-top, my theory is "the point". And I expect you to get all of it without further explanation.

For me, the most interresting 'revelations' had to do with those near death experiences and not mushrooms or acid, that I also tried but for recreative purposes.
i've done that, too.
Yeah, you did lol
You know what? I think the greatest moments of consciousness are the one experienced with our brain totally conscient and turned on normal mode. Just like Bloodsucker said, surfing a great wave, jumping from a plane, or even watching the sea or a chain of mountains, are great life moments. Living those momentS is happiness, sharing them is ultimate happiness.
That's all your body and soul needs in life to make the most of it.

Thanks but that wasn't my experience, as a matter of fact I was risking my life for a kick of adrenaline to avoid to have my conscience "turned on normal mode".

I had a hazelnut coffee this morning, extra strong, in a red translucent cup. Don't lecture me about drugs, boy. I am well vetted. Where I go, you cannot hope to follow.

My favorite morning treat was a dash of Frangelico and a splash of Baileys...they enhance a nice cup o' Java.
@ Fred
Just curious, in what form did the stuff come? I did some dropped on a small square of cardboard - we thought we'd been ripped-off for about 30 minutes. Another time it was called Black-Pyramid and came in a form that looked like it's name. Idk, it must have been cast into some form of Glucose to get that shape.
I know you're no kid Fred and are master of your own body but just a word of caution friend; in this day and age I would trust no one with anything. The Hippies I knew, either died a miserable death, retreated back to safe-norms regarding their body or became entirely corrupted by profiting-off their so-called friends. I suspect you have a long term connection that so far has prevented disaster. Maybe take the gained-insight and run for the hills? Be not offended it's just a wee "bit o' care" with nothing added.

it was in blotter form(on paper). first time i ever tried it that way. previously, i had it when added to gummy worms and sugar cubes. the name for it was "purple". pretty unimaginative name, if you ask me; considering how strong it turned out to be(i only took two hits and they came on in 20 or so minutes).
the hippies sold out their revolution; i have no respect for them whatsoever. they turned their back on a movement, because they didn't understand, that to fight guns with peace, means you lose. they should have picked up guns when their kind started getting shot by the military and cops. but they folded like the pussies they were.
also, i'd like to add that i was wrong about the source of lsd. it was a swiss scientist who invented the stuff(unknowing of it's hallucinogenic properties). the american government still used the stuff to try and control people's minds, though.

Yeah, that sounds about right, I imagine a Jerry Garcia type with his peace necklace and red sun glasses, loading his pump gun against a cop, clack clack:
- Didn't I tell you to make love, not war, you Nixon's ass licking clog of a machine!
Boom.

you can't defeat war-loving maniacs, with peace. it's like attempting to defeat a pack of velociraptors, with a basket of kittens. you'll need another pack of velociraptors, at least. in the real world, the chris pratts were all eaten, or became velociraptors themselves.

Well, I don't see the hippy movement as an organized revolutionary attempt with the goal of taking down the regime, anyway. It's more like a reactionary sub-culture. And sub-cultures either blend in while changing the mainstream culture at some degree or they gradually disappear. I think with the hippies, the former happened, the world of 1950's and the world of 1980's are significantly different, not only because of the hippies of course, they were partly themselves an outcome rather than an engine of change. Still, sex ceased to be a taboo, people stopped unconditionally romantizing wars in the name of patriotism, they started to raise their kids with respecting their choices more... These are all nice transformations, none of them are surely 100 percent effective but mainstream culture changed in the 60's with an acceleration never seen before or again.
Besides, they left us great music, which is by itself enough reason for me to pay my respects. I just love that period.

they left us great music because they were on great drugs. that's why the popular music of today is sheer snow(for the most part). the use of adderall and other prescription medicine doesn't make for a great soundtrack.

you kid, but every passing day it's more difficult to believe what i've seen. i've nearly forgotten the experience entirely, and am settling back into the illusion of this physical existence almost like i've never seen anything else to the contrary. and it's only been a little over 6 1/2 days.

I thought it had only been 4 days? Anyway it's good that a skeptic such as yourself could back it up so strongly as you did in this thread. Hence forth shall you ever come in doubt about the being that plays with itself, you only need to re-read this thread and be as convinced about its existence as everyone else in this thread for you truly have a way with words. What is your charisma score by now?

it had been 4 days since i made the thread, but i had had the experience 2 days before that. part of the reason why i made the thread, was for posterity, because my memory of it was already starting to fade(albeit much more slowly than it is now). i should have drawn a diagram of what it looked like as soon as i'd seen it. now the memory of that brief glimpse is nearly gone. all i have now besides that fading memory, is what i typed out soon after the experience. and this was all i could write at the time:
Quote: it's all interconnected. all of the wavelengths, all of it. there is a center.
no ego. it's an illusion. we are the same. all of us. we're one thing. everything else is us just distracting ourselves.
, before moving on to other thoughts; which i forgot entirely.
