I did go to the Zelda 25 year legend concert when it rolled into my country (like a year or two late)! It was pretty cool.

Ah, yes, WILD ARMS, RPG for PSX, had a very likeable OST.

There are tons of games with good music. Try these:

Spellforce: The Order of Dawn. Great music, my favourite is Plain Waterworld.

Eternal Sonata. Instrumental music, very well done. Also, it has some of Chopin musical scores.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Some themes are pretty relaxing.

I just thought of two more:

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - Everlasting Hymn

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Temple of Time theme

Plans changed sadly. I did this as a back-up plan. We have this guy in Denmark who is sort of the "legend" in movie and games, who hosts his own show and been doing it for AGES!
And we had a hard time getting in touch with him, but he has replied now. So I no longer have to write anything :/

Though I am hoping for my editor to give me a free recommendation

My favorite one from DA:I - The Lost Temple

Though I'm still bitter about how the game is turned out, its music is definitely catchy.

I will be putting out an article on how composers make gaming music. I have qoutes from Martin Stig Andersen (Limbo, Inside) and Jesper Kyd (Hitman, Assassin's creed). It is of course in Danish, but I guess you can just translate it with what ever.

It is coming out Friday-ish

Sounds good. Too bad you couldn't get to make the other article, but I guess it can't be helped. Curious who the "legend" you refer to is. Maelk? Synderen?

King's Bounty - Ancient Crypt. For me the best piece of music in the game. Simple, dark and beautiful at the same time.

You must be from Denmark?

But yes it is Stegelmann. He has been the voice of nerds since the 80s. He has told all of Denmarks kids which movies to watch, which games to play and what books to read. He is our legend

Gaming article

Here is my article with interviews from Jesper Kyd (Hitman, Assassin's Creed), Martin Stig Andersen (Limbo, Inside) and Takeshi Furukawa (The Last Guardian).

It is as you can see in Danish, so yeah, google translate it

I will post some more the next few days with some of the music played from the concert.

Commodore 64 medley

Hey guys. I was at the concert yesterday. It was amazing. Here is some of the music, they are allowed to share with the world.

It is a medley of Commodore 64 games. The Barbarian, International Karate, Shadowfire and Monty on the run - they are played in that order.

The rest tracks that they have the rights to share will come out tomorrow I will be back with those

EDIT:
Here is a nice selection of songs played at the concert
Zelda, Hitman and more

Far Cry 3 Soundtrack - Make It Bun Dem

When you get the flamethrower and someone says to you "Burn it down"

Did this scene the first time with nothing but the flamethrower and the rocket launcher. That was fun!

The best game from Ubisoft, that I ever played.

just read the article, was interesting thanks for sharing

I've been listening a lot of game tunes the past few days thanks to this thread....

And I even stumbled upon one of my favorite games which had some awesome music in my opinion! I guess the game was never very popular though.

Knights and Merchants soundtracks

Fantastic tracks all around. I was overjoyed to stumble upon Jazz 2 and Super Frog here. Listen to some of my favourite ones:

Breath of Fire IV - Opening

The I of The Dragon - Main Theme (the main theme is the best, but all of the ambient and battle tracks are great)

Divinity Original Sin - Dance of Death (aka the best battle music of all time)

Dragon Commander - For the Hand of the Princess (a mediocre game, but breathtaking sountrack, fantastic characters and superb dialogues)
