Geez, that's way too much to explore. I didn't like Skyrim much because of the size (and the fact you get those repeatable quests), while there wasn't much of unique content.

Holy crab!
That really is big... I starting to want this game more and more, mostly because of the 'raw' gameplay videos you attached @yogi. The only thing that bothers me is Link's idiotic sprinting, but the rest is just pure awesomeness (I also really like the colorful characters that were shown in the trailer, but those are in a league of it's own in Zelda games). Because it might be hard to pre-order Switch now, I'll probably need to wait for that Zelda bundle
PS: BY ALL THINGS HOLY! THIS!!!
I'm sold, I'm snowing sold!

"Aonuma says he's a big fan of Skyrim and Witcher 3 so there is a little bit of influence in Zelda"
I've lived to a time when my countryman's game was an inspiration for the biggest Zelda game. So f*cking proud

im replaying the original zelda via zelda classic ("It has been developed into an exact replica of the NES version that we all know and love. Beyond that, Zelda Classic allows the development of new quests that can use either the traditional graphics or enhanced graphics, as well as new enemies, items, and challenges."), and its freakin hard! anyone have any tips

From my memories the first Zelda is insanely hard, you have screens that will change if you pass them 7 times, among forests one tree can lead to a crucial spot of the game but nothing to differentiate that tree from the tons of others, I'm not sure I actually finished it maybe I should give it another go sometime. Worst case there is always walthroughs...
If you play Zelda II The Adventure of Link though I almost speedran this one so most likely I can give you tips.

It's basically only exploits, some enemies that make you go through hell can be easily beaten once you get it, for instance the ones who jump (the most annoying ones) have to be hit while they jump from below (you need the skill). It's my favorite Zelda as it's the only one where Link gains XP.

You really got me there for a second with that fan made Miyazaki film trailer! Good stuff, but the character animations gave it's fakeness out a bit...
But that Zelda fake advert, so rad! Speaking of which imo they're nailing it with the marketing campaign and to tell you the truth I really think Nintendo will be succesfull with Switch. Casual players are already interested in it, add all those Nintendo fans plus a few people like me who are looking for something different, and you have a solid buyers base. I think it will at least repeat the success of Wii - a niche console for causals which delivered a few exceptional (if not some of the best ever) games...

gameinformer has some good coverage all month (minor spoilers): http://www.gameinformer.com/p/zeldabotw.aspx
"You can look forward to more online features throughout the month to see how Breath of the Wild truly re-examines the Zelda formula, learn everything we know about the new dungeons, find out what’s in store for the future of 2D Zelda games, and read about Aonuma’s personal favorite Zelda games, among many other Breath of the Wild-focused features."

To tell you the truth I was never this hyped for BotW. But the more Nintendo Switch premiere closes in the more I'm getting hyped. It's really irritating that two of my most anticipated games in the nearest time come almost exactly on the same day (I'm talking about Horizon ZD). And both are immersive, I will be probably getting 100+ hours from each one of them. I thought about this for long but I can't resign from any of the two (resign meaning postponing their purchase). Now I wonder if I'll be able to play them simultaneously. It's not my style though, I prefer to play one game at a time. Which to pick then? I suppose Horizon, cause it will take less time to complete I think...
PS: Because hype is real in the mean time I bought this guy here:
Wolf Link is my all time fav 'character' (cause he's actually Link ) from Zelda games. The figure could do withouth Midna, but they look really good together... I would also love an Amaterasu figure from Okami, but guess this won't happen as it is a multi-platform title (though Okamiden was an exclusive title for DS). I also wonder if Switch will have those nice Amiibo feature that I would like to try like Amiibo Tap or Challenge...
