Matt Chat 366: interview with Jon Van Caneghem
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue2EvW-0oTU
A video interview with GodJon Van Caneghem. Certainly more in depth and satisfying than the previous on CH, as he focus on the history of the M%M franchise. I feel like I could be taling or listening to him on this subject for hours.
At the end of the interview he talks about a potential kickstarter project for M&M, and he admits that if he would ever get back the ip it would probably be the way to go, and seems like he would really like to. However he doesn't seem to be interesting in a kickstarter for a "spiritual succesor" so we can forget about it, as the ip will most likely die in the hands of Ubi for eternity.

Unless he buys it back and he, like you said, seems to want to, maybe he needs to know many people are eagerly awaiting for it. Would Ubi sell it? Sure if they overprice it why the hell not, JVC should get money with Creature Quest so there is hope for me, maybe not in immediate future but who knows. Thanks for sharing!

Damn, such an awesome, candid personality. Such a shame that M&M: Online never came to being. It seems to still sting for him to talk about it.

Such a shame Ubisoft delivered such utter crap with this IP, desecrating it in all possible ways and beyond, with h7 worst of it all.

Maybe it's playing the long game - the series will be valued so little farce after farce that JVC can finally buy it out All part of the plan!

Oakwarrior, are you still involved with anything Heroes related?
I'm more or less wondering about how you reflect back on Heroes 7, now that all is said and done with regards to that game.

No, not since quite some time now.
And as for my reflections there can be another topic for another time I guess? Wouldn't want to start cluttering this one, blessed by the presence of Jon the Great.

Just an idea of mine but if Ubi will not SELL it but rather try to make JVC to RENT it?
Like, instead of selling and abondening it, still trying to make money on a Long term?
