Poll Question: Would anyone play H4 campaign with new mod stuff?
Recently I have been able to make some new or renewed objects work in my mod, some of the objects are based on Equilibris 355 while others are fixed from the original game such as the Magic Lamp (http://www.moddb.com/mods/greatest-mod/downloads/greatest-mod-015-np#downloadsform)
My question is:
Would anyone like to replay the original H4 campaigns making use of mod funcionality and completely redecorated?
Default campaign maps were made before brushes were implemented in the expansions. Even then, very few brushes were used;
And overall, ambientation was very lazy for the maps, because of rushing for the deadlines.
Many new lush maps have been made by users since then,
But what about updating the existing ones?
There are over 15 campaigns for H4 on the original game + 2 expansions.
Let's see an example difference, before VS after
Default IV Map before redecoration (A Land Without a King)
Changed IV Map after redecoration (The Land Without King)
Difficulty would also be increased by default, AI more challenging, scripts added or fixed, looks modified, use of Creature Heroes, etc.
Or would anyone like to play a NEW H4 campaign made with these features?
Some example images of map editing with Equi355 stuff included on Greatest Mod (now with online capability unlike original .355) and all-new brushes:
Wall Gate
Badlands
Alice in Wonderland
Desert decorations
Working chessboard
Egyptian Temple

Although the re decor looks Great, I think it would Make most sense to make new story maps and or mod campaigns.
It would be quite a job to have to go through all existing campaigns just with the purpose of redecorating them. Even bigger if you also want to increase difficulty and correct possible script bugs.
So if you want to put a lot of work into it, why not put it into something new. You can compare before and after screen shots, but who recall the before look, if you just play the redecorated version?
I'll be using your creature heroes as well as modded objects in my campaign The Tale of Mudgeon. I'd also very much like to use any new object (including equi 3.55 or even brand new ones).
The same will partially be the case for the upcoming Unity campaign and possibly also Every Dog Has It's Day as long as it's WoW compatible.
