Music and beyond........Thank's Guys!
music?
Hey Guys....Rob here. You know you can never please everybody.. I too am guilty of turning off music in some of the games I play as well. For most of you I have heard very nice things about the soundtrack to H4. I thank all of you that have given me and my guys praise on our efforts. I have had a good 8 years at NWC and wish continued success to the remaining people at NWC. Unfortunatly the audio dept. was let go as well.... Thanks again for all the great comments guys!!! High Praise Music Man!
The music is one of things that I love the most about HOMM. I really love the HOMM2 because you can pop it in the stereo and just zone out. Although the music is different in each version they are all superb in my opinion. Thank you so much for contribution to the game.

The music for all the HOMM games is really a couple of notches over anything else I've heard in PC games. Great music all the way (with the HOMM2 music as the best).
Oh, and don't mind us whining every now and then. We've got a saying in my country, much wants more, if you get the drift...

but as you already guess, I want more BAGPIPES!!!!

anyone got some ideas or tips, what may be wrong with my soundcard?

Hmmm... we can tell you have never had to come up close to the demented machines of evil.. You know how they make that noise? There's a small kitten inside being slowly squeezed to death.

It is actually illegal to play bagpipes in certain places coz they make such a racket.. our national instrument is the harp, which makes a much more pleaseing noise (and features in H4 so there!! )

I love the Heroes IV Music. The Opera is wonderful, and in parts of the Asylum Town Theme, it really brings out the flavor of the Town.
For the Adventure Map, the Water Theme is my favorite. I have been known to just sit in the water on the boat for a few minutes, just to hear the music(Which quite annoys Lupin, and anyone else I happen to be playing with at the time)
You say for hire, Mr. King - judging by your work on Heroes IV, it won't be for long!

You can't just blame Will..It the hundreds of mindless over 40 executives that think he is cool and keep giving him and all the other crap money. BTW Thanks for the compliment. I totally realize that alot of people won't like the music and all the classical influence in this game, but it is different. We were the first to have opera singers in a video game..again, a few probably hate it, but it sure was fun doing it and I thank all the great folks at NWC that let me have my way with the games. Besides doesn't everyone turn off the music anyways?
Paul & I just finished up the Everquest: Planes O' Power score and it came out pretty cool. I am still lookin' for a job though..Anyone hiring? lol
Again..Thanks for everything guys, I definetly like popping in here and chattin' on the board with you.

Not everyone...
I even replaced all H3 tracks into h4 tracks !
I never heard H2 music, though.
But Heroes 4 has the best game music I know...

You haven't listened to HOMM 2 music! It is the best IMO anyway. I loved the opera and really missed that in HOMM 3.
Turn the music off while playing! That is unthinkable! It just wouldn't be the same without it. For me anyways.
I actually enjoy the music to all the HOMM games.
