Verriker's fanfare...
I wonder why Verriker's fanfare hasn't been played yet on this forum.. I got the impression the fanfare had already been orchestrated  What I've heard so far, I'd say it's quite a gem.. 
Hmmmm... Seems like a link is required... the X-files B-files...

Wonder if there may be any plans for a continuation of the original H4 campaigns rusting in an old computer somewhere as well...? You don't just create one of the most iconic and thought-provoking characters of all time (Gauldoth) just to scrap him in favour of the epic sagas of memorable heroes like "Mongo the Barbarian" and "Erutan Revol".

Well Terry Ray talked a bit about it in his interview about Unity and Every Dog.. The idea of Gauldoth being brother with Lysander and Waerjack and Lysander not necessarily being such a good guy and Tawni becoming the Evil opponent. It sounds like ideas were there, but never got any further. I don't know the background, but I believe the expansions were written by other persons, so if Terry left to do other stuff, or they just wanted to reveal other continents I can't tell. But you can find cross references in the Every Dog story with Dogwoggle traveling from one continent to another and presumably Worton is Sir Worton from Lysander's story. Apart from the many background stories and unused cross references, there weren't any documents about future/planned stories.
Frosty, yeah but I guess that just shows the progress from development to finished product. Something I found quite interesting is the Artifact origin/creator. If you extract the game files, you can find that the texts are packed in the game, but was never added as read able feature.
More files will be released, some which also mentions some scrapped featured.

Hehe I know that feeling. If I ever get to finish my first H4 peoject, Gauldoth's story would be continued...

Nice concepts. Really NWC stuff or maybe + fanfic correction to fit rest can be used to new stories :-) Adventures of Morgan Kendall... :-)

for my share if someone would get into touch with Terry Ray and see if he would be kind to share his ideas that would be the only way to do a continued story, any other attempt would as stated merely be a fan fiction because it is his story and characters lol
if anyone would be interested to make a contact with Terry Ray I would try but I will not do it randomly lol

Actually the best contact you guys could make imo would be to send him your maps when it's done, he will certainly appreciate it.
Then, once the ice is broken, you ask him to get to work.

Are we talking Unity/Every Dog.. here or a possible continuation of some of his characters in general?
Like Ankvaati, I'm curious if he had some written concepts for further stories, or if it were merely unfinished thoughts stored in his mind.. But certainly it would be great if Terry Ray would be interested in developing his stories to please the fans

Yeah I meant the maps you are working on based on his texts (Unity/Dog). Maybe he won't play them, maybe he will, just saying is possibly the best excuse you can have to write to him. I mean, "hello, your texts inspired us to do this and we wanted to thank you", can only create a positive reception from him.

Yeah that would be probably be the best angle to approach him. We did discuss it a bit, but I don't think we really had much to ask at the time, and trying to make contact just to say, "Hey look what you inspirered us to do" to me is kinda 'mheeh'. I recall we just didn't really have the questions that would justify trying to make Contact, but I think it's an interesting question. If anyone else got some good one (wheter they're related to the files or not) I'd let Verriker go for it..
Oh and one important thing related to Verriker's comment/suggested approach, that we did discuss, is that it should approach Terry to hear his ideas, and not present speculations to him. We've already seen that, and I doubt we wanna see spaceships being part of it

I don't really see what's "meh" about thanking an artist and sharing your work with him since he's directly related to it, but the call is yours.

Well I guess it's just my personal feeling. Not that I don't think he shouldn't get the acknowledgement from fans liking his work, but I'm generally not into looking up artists just to tell them I'm a fan. The difference is between meeting them either coincidentally or e.g. at a convention and actively trying to contact the person. You could of course argue that the latter could be a positive experience for the artist, but I guess I'm clouded by a memory of fans acting just a bit too stalker like. A question of respect to the artists privacy.
