umm in the past couple of days much talk of politics has been going on. Since i don't want this to get "cleaned out" by our gread "post-exterminators"(mods) i thought we could move it somewhere were it's on topic. so if u would be so kind and continue the disscussion we had in the thread "My Dear Heroes Communists".
Please i want to keep it alive so please post here.

Why does everyone have to start a bar every time they come up with a new idea nowadays? Just because one person did and it went well doesnt mean the rest of you have too. Use your own imagination for gods sake.
...And besides, who wanna discuss politics in a bar?

Appart from Marx? I think the original thread is easier... I doubt they will be deleted, the mods seem to be enjoying the debate.

Just to set the record straight ....
I have never said 'viva la revolution' ....
I have said "When the revolution comes, you'll be the first one up against the wall", but it was the early 70's and we all talked like that.
Have fun and play nice .....

Anyway... I don't live in France, but what this LePen guy pulled off can't be a good thing...
In Holland we've got our own LePen, he's called Pim Fortuin and I'm afraid he's gonna win a lot, in the elections here this summer...
Has the world gone crazy, or have I???

Agreed. Le Pen needs to have a wedgie...
But I see this getting ugly if this thread strays onto the more infected issues in the world today. I strongly urge the mods to keep an eye on this thread to prevent it from getting out of hand. This is a heroes thread, after all, not a political forum.

It's long day at work and I feel like writing
LePen and all the others like him express a feeling of many europeans that they are losing their identity to a tide of foreigners sweeping them away. It's true to a certain extent, but LePen's ideas are too late to change this fact. Europeans don't have enough babies to support their culture and like all dead ends in history will be swept away in time. The foreigners are already integrated into EU economy and do the work that europeans turn their noses up at. This is a cycle repeated in history and will be repeated again. Only a few vibrant cultures ever withstood such invasions, Chinese, India, and possibly US since US started with an invasion and it's an ongoing one.
Of course I bet that when Turkish economy stablises more and some Eastern european countries and Russia, they will face the same tide of foreigners. Poorer people always head towards the riches, it's survival instinct.

I disagree partly Ichon...
I think "the european culture" has already placed it's long tentacles into american culture and that way will live as long as american culture will live. Every culture have to change or it will stagnate and die.
But you're right...
Even in Finland people have to sooner or later face the fact that people have to make call for immigrants so there will be enough population to keep this country going. Finns like people in many countries are aging and those who are from countries that population is younger will come to take their place...with way or another.

I disagree partly too ichon...
SubZero has said it well, "every culture have to change or it will stagnate and die." So cultures don't just get "swept away", they... erh... evolve.

LaPen is a warning to us all, perhaps, of what happens when people do not vote one way or the other. Now the table has turned as even the socialist supporters are now set to vote Chirac.
Facism is now a major problem, unfortunately, in most areas of the world, not just europe.. Neo-Nazis can be found everywhere, from America to Greenland. Our town sucessfully drove out a nazi rally, and proud of it we were.
Let this be a lesson to all:- "No vote, no voice"

neo nazis
I think the most interesting occurence of neo nazis happens in Russia. Hitler's brand of facism seems determined not to die.
I have to say that I think so far the apathy of people in countries with strong facist movements has actually prevented more damage than caused it. Hitler took the chancellory with support from only his brown shirts and a small Nazi party. Right now facist movements can't even garner that much support due to the general apathy of people. Even if they don't like foreigners they are too lazy and afraid to make any moves which upset the current order.
