Unfortunately, that's not my problem. I can't import the ora to the Namerutan's tool in the first place without a crash. I might compare them in hex later.
And Thanks. What do you mean by the last sentence? If you're asking if I plan to move the buildings then not yet.

Could you share your image/ora, then others can give it a try.
No, I meant it looks like you're using the original background buildings, but with new image (like the ponds). So I'm curious if you borrow bits and pieces from old backgrounds and insert them into new ones.
In other news, Roman2211, just made me aware of this beta screenshot with Deleted Objects.
The Magic Lamp, Exhausted Gold Mine, Different Village layout and unused Axe (?). Perhaps we can find more objects, if we search through those Beta screenshots. I didn't notice them at first, only a few Hero Portraits and different UI layout.

Theres no this objects in present game? Tell these plant walls. Is it in final game? Dont remember. Great you search these resources. Will be ood to add all we will find. Cut all new you will find. First mod I see alternative interface. I try to add dragon to 600 x 800 interface which is poor.

Huh, I think I saw exactly the same magic lamp image somewhere when I tried to search for beta objects a few days ago. I just didn't realize it's the real Magic Lamp from H4 because it didn't looked really isometric like other objects... But I can't find it anymore
It was probably an animated gif. So maybe there are some more deleted stuff on the web, not only that Outpost I guess.
Baronus: those 'plant walls' can be found about the end of the Vegetations section in the editor. They are existing objects.

Radmutant, can't you just view your browser history and locate it that way?
Baronus, you mean the deleted objects found in the editor (we allready have lists of these) or images of the deleted objects found in the beta?
I think we're all interested in these. I might try to cut the images out and replace them.

Do you mean what program you need? Autodesk 3ds Max uses .3ds format. It's free and I downloaded it some time ago for some reason but I know nothing about 3D modelling so it was completely useless for me So then I quickly uninstalled it. Maybe I shall not do that...?
Edit: Yeah, my browser deletes the history everytime when I close it because of my settings. So it's impossible I think.
Edit2: trashid, I think you should decrease the color depth of your image. I couldn't import it even with the best PC at my workplace until I did that:
I think it had just 'too good quality'...

Yes I think about all not existing ingame resources bank. Fan made and beta. I found only this one fan made :-) Maybe someone can extrat this model for 2d screens? Or maybe we can download simply 3ds viewer and screen capturer? Not full machine.
Very nice city! Great to see Restoration of HerIVathia! :-)

Yeah, I thought about using parts from Heroes 3, but for this one I have only used free photos from the net

Well I think it would be nice to have different screens for all towns on every terain types. I dont know how much work to make an image like this but if it isnt too difficult then I hope some people here can do even all 48 of it.
Unfortunately I never could make anything like this screen.

The best solution. As you want. Personally I mean that 8 is enough. All rest is making by buildings. But as you want. If you have patience and willingnes... But maybe better spend time to something another? Like new units?

I would like to change the adventure map terrains if someone finds a way
Edit: I still have problems trying to put it into the game. I will try some more later, but if someone could post here a h4d file with it I would appreciate it.

I left it at my workplace and I still can't use reshelper on my home PC.
But I had to decrease the color depth to 8 bit (256 color) to make it work. After that I just replaced the original death town screen with it and the tool is imported it easily in a few seconds.
Edit: nevermind, here is your file:

@trashid What you did to the town screen background is simply amazing. If you are planning on continuing the project, please, let me know. I'd gladly help. I'm pretty good at digital art, especially photo-editing. If you send me all backgrounds for/of one town, Nature/Necropolis for instance, I might try to rework them as you did. Unfortunately I have no copy of Heroes IV right now and that's why I cannot extract background files on my own.
Once again - Congrats! It's awesome!

darkem: in theory you can download all the exported town images from here. Feel free to make any new screens you just want.

When I edited the townscreens for the HD mod, I simply cut the parts I wanted to add (in most cases it was simply each side, while skies were a different matter), then pasted it, getting either mirrored sides or rough edges. Then I used Photo Gallery (Windows). It has a feature to 'autocorrect' selected areas (not sure if Gimp has this features as well), but what that does, is that it blends the 'two' images into one (often using areas from the existing image. It works surprisingly well, and basically does all the hard work (in this case the smoothening).
But great to see an digital artist voluntiering.
