-This is probably going to be a bit more realistic than most others, if you're alone against five other people, RUN
-Be creative, not powerful
-Don't play other people's characters without permission, NPCs are fine
-Don't create 'gamelocks' reliant on one person answering you
-You can NOT execute an action against another player character
-You can attempt an action against another player character
In this world:
Day lasts 20 hours
Month is 21 days
Year is 14 months
It's a medieval world.
You can have a hand cannon but no one has invented matchlocks yet. You'd have to be the first.
There is magic but you better know what you're doing with it. All magic is based on science. General rule, if we can't do it in our time, you can't do it in there. Magic is a shortcut, not a cheat.
So explosions, lightning, all fine and dandy. Turning someone into a frog or teleportation? Not so much.
World map, not really relevant but hey, at least you know. You're in the middle.

Commonly known world history
- Tal'Quessir and humans have been in trading relations since as long as they have known how to build boats due to the proximity of the Grey isles to the human continent
- Most Tal'Quessir/Human trade passes between the western merchant republics with small percentages going to the western kingdoms and the northern free cities
- The southern raiders hit several of the western kingdowms harder than ever before and even sack Kraningen forty leagues inland
- The western kingdoms establish a military alliance against outward aggression to prevent this in the future
- The Celestial Empire launches an offensive to acquire it's own coast in the west against the city of Osthamn, "before it is too late"
- The problems of logistics and communication for the Empire prolong the war, at the same time the senate is not willing to dedicate large amounts of resources with the steppe clans massing on their border once again
- The other republics fearing Empiric aggression form the Confederation
- Ithilians start building ocean going vessels
- The Great Khan dies and the horselords in the east fall into succession wars again, this enables the Empire to swiftly conclude it's business in the west
- The war for Osthamn concludes and it surrenders unconditionally to the Empire but not before turning over all of it's navy and merchant marine to the Confederation squashing all hope of Empiric trade ambitions
- Anorean expedition discovers the northern continent and the Sh'ks
- Humans having studied the Ithilian ships start building their own ocean going vessels
- A Tal'Quessir expedition discovers the new continent
- Knowledge of this spread to the Humans and the Confederation send their own expedition, following the same route
- A Tal'Quessir colony is established on the Great Lake
- The republics establishes a colony north of the Great Lake
- The Western Kingdoms send an expedition to discover suitable lands south of the Tal'Quessir colony but the journey takes them all the way around the continent until suitable lands are found, on the way back they lose their heading in a storm and arrive on the southern continent
- The Confederation sends and expedition to the southern continent, they discover the Geran Kzhud and initiate trade relations with the Aristocracy in the East
- The Western Kingdoms establish a colony on the south-western plains of the new continent, they also initiate expeditions for the southern continent to establish trading relations with the Khzud, an alliance is forged between the Kingdoms and the Aristrocracy in the Western tunnels and Khzud start arriving to the mountains of the Kingdoms' colony
- The Sh'ks star arriving through the Great Lake in Anorean ships to populate the jungles of the new continent, according to them there is nothing but desert in the north of their continent
- A Confederation ship is veered of course and discovers the G'rrr but all of the members perish in the hellish heat of the summer
- The G'rrr study the vessel and mount their own expedition to the sea, after losing it's sails in a storm it is found by northern corsairs and escorted to the free city of Qarat
- Relations between the G'rrr and the city of Qarat are established and annual trade starts between them
- The connection between the G'rrr and the Sh'ks homeland is made by a Qarat trader, the math suggests that there is a western route to the new continent
- A Qarat expedition finds the western route to the new continent and small scale G'rrr colony is established in the north with Qarat assistance
- The Empire establishes a port on the northern coast in the Gulf of Windfall and declares it to be Empire territory. The Northern Cities support the Empire and the Confederation doesn't dispute but a pact of mutual assistance in case of further Empiric aggression is drawn between the Kingdoms and the Confederation
- The Celestial Empire establishes cordial relations with the G'rrr Empire and offers their support in providing ships for the G'rrr
- The Empire establishes a colony of it's own in the western plains of the new continent between what is now Western Kingoms' land in the south and Tal'Quessir woodlands in the north
- The G'rrr brave the dangers of the Red Mountains and cross over to the Sh'ks jungles to acquire lumber for mass scale ship production
- A war breaks out between the Sh'ks commune and the G'rrr Empire, the Anoreans support the Sh'ks while the Celestial Empire and the Free Cities support the G'rrr with ships and arms
- Initial confrontations bring great success to the G'rrr but the Sh'ks soon resort to guerilla warfare and the war bogs down at the edge of the jungles
- Having witnessed the success of the Kingdoms' Khzud mining colonies in their territory the Confederation starts promoting similar immigration for the eastern Kzhud in the mountain range west of their own territory in the new continent
- The war between the G'rrr and the Sh'ks starts to turn against the G'rrr when the Sh'ks start their own shipbuilding industry in the Fingers on the new continent
- The Celestial Empire captures the Fingernails from the Sh'ks commune and the Tal'Quessir Federation issues an ultimatum
- Witnessing the population boom in the new continent being threatened the G'rrr start seeking a diplomatic solution through Eleneans, Eleneans agree on the condition that the G'rrr sustain a healthy population of all creatures on the new continent
- The war comes to an end with the Sh'ks Commune agreeing to grant priority to the G'rrr Empire in their wood trade over other nations and the G'rrr Empire agrees to pull back over the Red Mountains, Celestial Empire disregards all talk of ceding the Fingernails

Spellcraft
- The study of spells, their composition and application.
Spellcraft or 'The Craft' as it is commonly often called is the study of spells. In the Grandmaar University it is divided into three faculties: Discovery, Creation and Application. Out of these Discovery studies the underlying principles of our world and provides the basic knowledge necessary for all other fields of science. Creation focuses on the usage of this knowledge in crafting new effects and spells. These are then further refined into safely regulated everyday usage in Application.

Spell
- Application of mana to shape the world
All spells comprise of two components: Command and Measure. Measure is the amount of mana channeled. Command specifies the effects of the spell and is further subdivided into three parts: Target, Body and Medium. Target specifies the area of the spell, Body contains the necessary information for the specify the effects of the spell and Medium specifies how all this information is delivered. Most commonly used mediums are speech and signs but other mediums do exist. Should one of these be incorrect the end result will be unsatisfactory.

Mana
- The ability of all living things to emit energy
All living beings have three different basic kinds of qualities: Mental, Physical and Spiritual. Mental encompasses the qualities that interact with the self, Physical encompasses the qualities that interact with the world through force and Spiritual encompasses the qualities that interact with the world through energy. Mana is a quality in the spiritual category that describes the energy emitting capabilities of the being. While some wild beasts have natural ways of refining mana for a specific purpose the intelligent races can refine it in multiple different ways through spells.

Tel'Quessir
A journey to the Quessir lands is relatively simple. One usually starts from one of the Western Merchant Rebuplics, Westhamn being a popular choice, and hops on a ship and reaches the Grey Isles in a few days, a week at the longest. This mountaineous archipelago is one of the more densely populated areas of the Federation. The peninsula east of it, much less so. Continuing on to east one will find himself entering the Sun Straits to the Sea of Stars, which unlike Sea of Storms is a peaceful and kind mistress. Some call this elven luck, even their seas are better.
In the Sea of Stars lies the Moon Island, the administrative center and capitol of the Federation. It might look deceptive to the eyes of the inexperienced due to all the tall trees but make no mistake, millions of people live there. South of the sea is the land of ancient forest dotted with tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of small lakes and streams. There are no roads, there doesn't need to be, the natural waterways provide all the necessary means for transport with boat during summer and on ice during winter. Perhaps there is something to be said about their luck afterall.
Quessir are the bright spark of civilisation and culture. From the decidious woods of the northern mountains through the coniferous forests along the southern lakes all the way to the Grey Isles to the east you can hear their song. As you surely know, on the Sky Isle you can find all the Quessir. Common to all is the stature averaging 5'3", unmatched hearing and the great grace with which they move. The Anor'Quessir are of course the beautifully bronze skinned, golden haired inhabitants the northern part of the continent. Ithil'Quessir the light grey skinned, silver haired ones who hail from the eastern peninsula and the Grey Isles. Even the southern Elen'Quessier with their black skin contrasted by their snow white hair can be found in the capitol.

Humans
Having grown up in the republics of the Confederation I had had the chance to visit the Kingdoms, even the outskirts of the Empire on occasion but I always yearned for more. Wanted to see more, to know more. So against the will of my father I set out on my journey. My sister called me a lunatic for chancing the pirates in the south but little did she know not only did I sail near their waters I spent my winter with them as well in their fjords. From there I was able to study the dry, southern tundra of the eastern peninsula as well. Large woolly elephants with giant tusks and rhinos not seen anywhere else graze the land there. These are preyed upon by lions, hyenas and wolves, far larger than those up north. Once the the ice thawed I made my way north to the Empire's heartland, the Sea of Storms.
Nothing could have prepared me for this, there are so many people. I'm sure the Isle of Storms by itself holds more than the cities of the confederation put together. I shudder to think of what would happen would the Sea of Storms be free around the year. Certainly the western countries would have fallen prey to the Empire long ago. From the Empire I continue east and north through the vast steppes where the horselords rule. It is the warrior prominence of these numerous clans that keeps the Empire in check, for each child learns how to ride and notch an arrow before they learn how to walk. As my journey takes me further north through the savannas I finally arrive at the coast of the Great Sea. From these rich cities where buildings are lined with gold and gems I could head back home by ship or by making the long journey through numerous provinces of the Empire, certainly tempting but I think think there's even more to see out there, over the ocean.
Humans are a race of large diversity. The large continent and multitude of different biomes from large evergreen forests to savannahs on it have certainly played their part in this. The average height varies between 5'5"-6'0" for men and 5'0"-5'5" for women depending on the region but large differences between individuals are fairly common, even in the same area. Skin colour ranges from translucent of the tribes in the southern snowscapes to dark ebony of the northern peoples. Culturally they are just as diverse and no better advice has ever been given than to know the area you are travelling to. There is only one thing they all have in common, from the nomad clans of the great steppes to the merchants of the western cities, they all love gold.

Geran Kzhud
We're going in there? Aye, that's the only harbour in the west. By that the man meant a huge hole in the side of the glacier. With the light of the stars reflecting off the snow and ice illuminating our way the ship slowly made it's way through the chunks of ice floating around us. So this is why we needed a ship with oars. As we entered the cave I could not believe my eyes. The light of the lanterns reflected off hundres, no, thousands of icicles in the ceiling. It was like we had sailed into the realm of the gods on the sky with only black emptiness under us and the waves we made being reflected of the icy walls. The echo of water dripping down from all those icicles made for an ecquisite melody.
With a silent ksshhhhh we touched down on the soft sand at the end of the cave and climbed down at the bow. It might not have been ice but the water was still freezing cold and soon I couldn't feel my feet anymore. After trudging through the dark water for what felt like forever I finally stepped on dry land. We continued into a smooth, round tunnel, volcanic cavern they told me, and after a while I could feel warmth on my face and the piercing pain in my feet told me the same. We continued a little further and I could hear a new voice greeting us from the distance. I tried to peek around to see him but the front men put out their lanterns and for a while we just stood there. I started to see the outlines of the men before me illuminated by an eerie light green glow. I realised this was coming from all around us, the walls were glowing in intricate fractal patterns. What a fascinating place!
Geran Kzhud or simply Kzhud are the small and stout cave dwellers of the southern continent. They've made the volcanic tunnels under the snow and ice their home. Rarely reaching over 4'5" in height and sensitive to sunlight they posses great vision in the dark, dim glow of the mushrooms and bacteria that lace the walls of their underground towns. Greater yet is their ability to feel the movement of the earth under their feet and palms. This is very necessary as their continent is seismicly active and prone to earthquakes.

G'rrr
Summer in Nordhaven had been hot enough. I should have listened to the captain when he told me to enjoy it while I could. The winds had finally started to change eastward and we had set off on our way north a month ago. Not a single cloud since then, just constant sunshine. There wasn't even a night to relieve us anymore. All the sun did was dip below the horizon for a few moments. You didn't even need a fire to cook here! The captain tells me were almost to the G'rrr lands, less than a week he says. It will get better, we're already in fall, this is why we waited, he says. I don't want to think of what it is like here in the summer!
I could not have been prepared for what I saw at the harbour when we arrived. It was a carneval of colours. Green, red, yellow, orange, even blue and purple! A good smack to my back settled my confused eyes. You're ogling men you know. W-what? The colourful ones are men, the women are the larger single colour ones. With a hearty laugh the captain carried on towards the largest person on the docks. She must have been at least 13 feet tall. Her ochre scales were covered by a pure white cotton cloth loosely hanging on her shoulders and back. Whoosh! Three small ones brushed by on my both sides like the wind. The tall G'rrr woman let out a low disapproving rumble that I felt more than heard and was immediately answered by high pitched wails from the children. Suddenly the woman grabbed me under her arm and rushed me inside one of the brick buildings before I could do anything. Not a moment later a huge shadow drifted over the now empty plaza. I tried to peek out to see what was the cause of that but a steel halberd(actually poleaxe but HCers) blocked my way with an accompanied disapproving low growl. I decided it better not to push my luck if someone twice my size thought it a bad idea.
G'rrr hail from the arid parts of the northern continent where the sun never sets. Their large bodies are covered in hard shiny scales protecting them from their scorching environment. The same scales can be coloured in the most exquisite patterns of colours for the men and indeed, there are stories of individuals with all the colours of the rainbow. The women's scales come in a variety of reds, like those of the sands and rocks in their homeland. The G'rrr keep growing their whole lives and thus an easy way to tell the age of a person is by their height. The Empress Kr'k herself stands over 15 feet tall. The official records make no mention of her age but she was already in power since the first human expedition to the continent over 70 years ago. The men are generally smaller and individuals of over 10' in height(tail not included) are rare. They are also lighter and faster, this combined with their excellent eyesight is what makes them preferred scouts for caravans in open terrain.

Sh'ks
We had to abandon our boat as the roots became too thick to fit through. Without any hesitation the crew jumped over and started wading forwards. It seemed like they knew exactly where they were going. I had lost all sense of direction days ago, how long had we been in these mangroves? A week? Two weeks? Of course the rain had never let up. This was one of the better days, I could see further than the nose of the boat. I jumped to the water as well and headed after them while two of the men stayed back to return with the boat. They better make it back or we'd never get home again. Remembering the screeching of the sentry a few days ago I shivered and hurried. These jungles were full of creatures that could thinkf of nothing better than a warm-blooded meal.
Finally after what seemed like forever wading through the trees, roots and leeches, those goddamn leeches, I could see something shimmering through. A clearing in the understory with only the largest trees left standing to cover the sky. Between those trees were buildings that started out as stone and changed to wooden construction after clearing the water level. They reached high between the trees and some walkways were visible in the heights. Around us I could see several forms speeding through the water towards us, they moved like sharks, moving their reptilian bodies from side to side with their tail behind them, and surrounded us in no time. What emerged before us were the Sh'ks guard. Dressed in finest red and purple satins and armed with bows and spears tipped with obsidian and bronze these were the people I'd come to see.
The jungles of the northern continent are the home of the Sh'ks. A relatively small race the Sh'ks average 4'3" for the men and 4'8" for the women, though they keep slowly growing throughout their life and the Matriarchs who rule over them can be over 5'. Their soft skin comes in a range of greys and greens but their most distinct feature must be their habit of constantly tasting the air with their tongue. This does have the benefit of giving them excellent sense of smell(taste?) which comes in handy navigating the the jungles of their homeland. The same jungles are filled with dangerous beasts but the Sh'ks can go about their life in relative ease because their blood is toxic to most living things. This does not apply to visitors so be properly prepared.
"Sadly predators on the other continents are not aware of the toxicity of Sh'ks. Many a tragedy has followed from this."

It's okay, keep your post, I can follow up on this.
Don't know if G'rrr have knights or not, but G'sh'rr is a bit delusional. He thinks he's a knight serving the empress, never met the empress though. Whether he's even actually been knighted is another matter I'm unsure of as of right now.
He's a bit of a strange guy, looking for adventure and opportunities to prove his chivalry and spread the glory of the Empress. Among G'rr he's tall for a male, but still small compared to females. He can leverage his size against other races, but not really against other G'rrr, especially females.
