I agree with Baronus, I'm not going to pay an Ubi, they have nothing to do develop of the H1-4, those who buyed the game, you do not think that you have the right to require a live multiplayer server, otherwise pay for what? I think that H1-4 should be free to download, these games is long ago paid off

It's not paying Ubi only support gog.com for god's sake. Of course, some money are for Ubi but gog.com supports many games from diffirent developers.

If you are still interested in the game, create an email account and send it to me, I'll buy it for you on GOG, under one condition, whenever you can afford it you will come back to the forum and buy the game for another user, deal?
That sounds like an odd deal. But that's fair.

That is a good point, but I don't really give much detail to that, I see it as giving access to HOMM3 to a new player.
On the other hand who cares what other games Ubisoft releases, if they sell HOMM3 at a good price?

Wait... This could sound stupid, but is GOG a free website or is a property of Ubisoft? I'm kind of lost here.

Not really but if they are selling the game, some money is probably going to Ubisoft, but regardless when I buy something that I like from a company I don't factor in what other products they sell

GOG.com - short for Good Old Games - is maintained by a team of people who have been programming wrappers for old(er) games, so they can be played on modern day machines. They initially worked from DOSBox as their wrapper, but I think they've since expanded quite a lot. They're also having modern day games on offer. It's legit and all of the software they host is DRM free. You just need to buy it once.
They're independent, for the most part, though I suspect that they do get sponsored by game developers behind the scenes.

Ah, thank you for that. By the way, I didn't really expect this thread to become a bit of a discussion.

This is true, but I doubt you can just start selling a product another company owns unless you come to some sort of arrangement with them. It might be pennies, it might well be nothing although I doubt it.

But that's the world works. You can buy Sony or Samsung tv in any electro-market. Some your money goes to Sony, rest for electro-market. Sometimes Samsung or other comlany buys other tv producers for millions bucks etc. It's normal cspitalism procedures

You certainly don't have to buy the game if you don't want to, but how is it dishonest to buy something from a company in bankruptcy?
I'm aware that does affect the price a lot, but shouldn't it?

That's sort of understandable, they want more profit, just like any other company in the world.

Unhonest is paying for nothing. And I dont want give free money to Ubi! What Ubi add to JVC old games to pay it? Nothing. Not creators not producers only coincidence copyright owners. I know how capitalism work but is bad system!
Honest is buy for 1.3 million and earn 13 million maybe more? 1,3 mln copies per 10$ gives 13 mln. I think that Ubi sold more than 1 milion NWC games since 2003! 15 years! Its only 100.000 copies per year! H1-4 MM6-9 HChronicles. Now maybe not but in 2004 -9 was more popular. For nothing?! What they have done? Money in games are only for GAME CREATORS BECAUSE WE LIKE HIS GAMES! ONLY! ONLY CREATORS WE LIKE!

How are you paying for nothing if you get a copy of Heroes III?
If you think capitalism is a bad system wait until you try a different one, talking from experience here.
