With Sword and Fire - Horned Demons!
Well, I copied this message from the first thread on this map, but I think my problem is different enough to make a new thread.
Can anyone tell me how do you kill those freaking horned demons without loosing a single unit? I have spent hours on this and I couldn't find a solution I split my marksmen into 2 stacks (29 and 1). Is it a good setting to start with? Or maybe I should leave it as it is? Or make another 1-unit stack? Once I was really close to make it, but one demon stack makes a movement which completely ruins all my efforts I know that it is doable, but...I run out of any constructive ideas. Please, I'll be gratefull for any help! Whoever won this battle, could you give some screens or sth?

I'm right there with you bro.
I came close a ton of times but in each one stack of demons go after the archers instead of the flies and all is ruined. I feel like we're at the mercy of the AI making the wrong choice, and it does make the wrong choice all along (lol) until that last move.
I really wonder how people beat this one. 29-1 stacks? Never tried it to be honest... Could work I suppose, if somehow you can get the demons to go after the wrong unit.
By the way, the demons I face are arranged 4-3-3-3-3... if this what everyone gets?

Yes, the arrangement is always 4-3-3-3-3. And I try with 29-1 stacks. With this I come to the point where all demons are killed except one 3-unit stack which eventually reaches my marksmen and the party is over. Only one turn more and I would make it. I'm a bit tired of analysing every single hex movement variant to complete the battle.

Muhahahaha!!! I did it!
I separated the archers as 24-6. The 24-stack almost always kills of 3-stack demons, not always though. In the meantime, the 6-stack thins out another stack of demons. What's funny though, the fact that not all stacks of demons were cleaned off by the 24-stack archers helped. Due to too much crowd (of 1-stack demons with little HP left), the final 3-stack demons followed the flies, and that moment I had won
I had tried 25-5 before (many times) with no success, so I was sure (wrongly) that 30-stack was the way to go.

I still cannot do this :/ I tried 24-6 stacks, but I have no clue how to position my marksmen. The demons come to me in two turns as before. The first 24 marksmen almost kill the first unit of 4 or 3 demons. The remaining 6 shoot but are not able to kill even one single demon. When the second turns begin, the demons are right before me. And the dragonfly bait is not working...I guess I will not pass this without some screens...Btw, do you attack at the beginning of your turn or force the troops to wait, let the demons approach and then shoot?
Ah well... the best result is 2 marksmen and the dragonfly down :/ What am I doing wrong? It's so frustrating.
Come on, man. Please post a screen from this battle against the horned demons.
Edit: I've won the map. The thread can be now closed Thx!
