Nice but in second pic you must change face. Only face. Or try edit to make non manga look! Hardcore manga is not a H4 style!

Hm. I'm not against the idea of manga-like portraits like that, but then we should replace every portraits in the game, including creature portraits of course to avoid mixing styles.
But making and importing some 400 portraits would be quite big work, and it may won't worth, except if someone would like to create a new big manga themed mod or something like that

I guess it depends on wheter a map maker is only using manga portraits for a single map, otherwise I agree.
But in general I try to match the H4 style, but in the end that's an individual taste.
Also I doubt anyone will ever succesfully replace ALL portraits (including creature portraits), yet still it would be possible to pack all of these new customized portraits in the original portraits file and the Equilibris FaceTool can then read and display them. That way we'd have easy access to a larger pool of portraits in 1 place and then you could easily replace an existing one with a new one.. I might add this to the object package...

Well, in fact once I replaced almost all portraits in the game some years ago. Except creature ones because I couldn't do that at that time... That's not hard, just really a time consuming task.
But no, I'm not planning to do it now seriously
I reacted on this topic only because the slime advertising guy/chick(?) above had written his/her sh*t here, and I automatically gave an answer before I realized that he/she just copied Baronus' post to avoid going offtopic
The only good side of this is I recognized this thread, because I like those three portraits and I'd like to see more of that style.
Also unlike this 'maryanatolia', we are going off topic, since it's supposed to be Szaman's portrait thread I think

its not that hard now, I did it for my mod; the "Hard" part is using the GIMP correctly...

Me too, but perhaps Nimo was refering to the insertion of new images in gimp rather than image editing.. anyway I'll leave the tread for Szaman to post more images..

I make the editing of the images themselves in Photoshop CS6 when I need good editing. But you have to import them to GIMP to save as ORA and then re-import them to namerutan's editor if you want to change the creature's faces. And the GIMP gives some problems in this regard (for example, it will save excess pixels outside the frame which will ruin the conversion, unless you are careful to use methods to delete them.)

Nope.
I'm doing the editing in Paint, and import the saved bmp images with FaceTool. Then I export the portrait layer files and do the hex editing. It's my working method...

Sorry for thread "steal" but I didn't want to spam generating a new thread when this is already called "new portraits" :V
Here are some of the new portraits that will come with the new version of my mod.
Also take into account that if a portrait looks like a creature, they will be that creature ingame.
