Btw. I think this has been discussed before in earlier threads, but I think it bears to be repeated.
In my opinion, banning stuff, or nerfing, usually isn't the way forward, because it most likely changes something fun and exciting into something more mundane.
In stead I propose to buff the stuff that doesn't work, so it rivals the OP stuff. But it is of course much more difficult to find ways to battle e.g. resurrect or town portal than to remove them.
Imagine if e.g. resurrect worked on enemy troops, or you could place some kind of magical traps, e.g. through magic symbols, so monsters the opponent resurrect would have some kind of fault, or curse, upon them. This could be several things, such as lower health, less damage, or maybe the more interesting being affected by berserk or similar. I am sure more interesting ideas could be suggested.
I think putting some kind of risk into e.g. resurrect and town portal through the actions of the other player, would be better than to remove them from the game altogether.
On the other hand, it might simply be better to buff the things already present, but hardly used, in heroes sufficient to challenge the most used aspects of the game.
