Average month amount you need to finish a map..
I ask cuz i saw alot of people finishing maps in 2-3 months.I dont know how i usually play M maps for around 6 months or so.Dont know why maybe i just hate having heavy losses in fights at start ot i want to build a superheroe but thats how much it takes me.For XL maps lot longer.I think i even played one XL map in Heroes 3 for around 11 months (maybe a month -+).I even think it was a campaign map.I start with castle town and have two lands in left and right side of the map,between is large portion of water and underneath gigantic underground with like 8 or so those underground cities i forgot their name.So i finished having 3 armies each with 50 of their most powerful creatures and lost of others (think was 50 of each-titans,gold dragons,archangels).
So how you guys finish maps so fast?

Well I finished the first scenario of the order campaign within 9 months! Twisted, eh? (difficulty=intermediate)

lol im playing first scenario of order campaign now and im on 6th month and i still have some killing to do.

Medium map-4 months or so...sometimes 3 and change.
Large map-6 months...although I've done a couple in 4 months and change a couple of times.
Personally, I like to try to take my time in single scenarios and get everything available...explore everything.

I'd rather ask: how do you possibly manage to use a month on a map?? When I play with my friends(I very seldom play alone) we use about one day to play a medium map .. Well that's in HoMM4, maby it takes longer in 3.
Much better to play for two days and then play other games/do other stuff that playing for 6 months.

Ummmmm .... to clarify, we're talking game time here, not the time it takes in the real world to finish it...
And so far, for the record, I just finished an XL map I downloaded from heroes4.org that took almost 11 months to finish ... 27 towns on it, and chasing down enemy heroes through the Fog can be a pain LOL (The AI may be a moron in many ways, but it is very good at slipping through the Fog ...and even flagging everything possible may not help)... I was also trying to build up my heroes as much as possible, and even with caravans, it sometimes took 2 weeks to get fresh troops to the front. (I'm pretty careful about not mixing alignments, as good morale can easily win a battle, and bad morale can have you screwed up royally)
