How to open and edit saved game by myself ?
Nowadays, I play HOMM3, it's cool game and I can save game, but I can't edit the saved games, because file extension of original maps ".h3m".
If I save game then change the file extension, new name of file extension ".GM1".
My maps edit programs can't open the changed maps.
Please teach me how to edit the changed maps.

"Changed maps" are called saved games. You need a save game editor. There are some on the internet.

Well, I've never used save editors before (I prefer hex-editing in memory). This one is very simple, and allows you to change very limited set of data. But anyway, it allows you to change heroes and resources

If you want to edit savegames, you better also have some base understanding of hex editing.
Anyway, if you want to give it a go, Heroes savegames are actually simply .zip files. You can open them with something like 7zip and extract the contents. You can then hex-edit the extracted file, but you better know what you're doing .
After editing the savegame, you can zip them again using 7zip. The game should be able to recognize your savegame, provided you didn't inadvertently mess up the editing work you did.
