To all things comes an end, we can help in the change or prolong the present for a little while.
Trying to save the world isn't evil, everything is based on truth. The world can only end (or change) if the present state of things loses truth, i.e they're out of touch with reality and the opposing side has the truth of it, unfortunately this is highly subjective as opposed to being objective (there is no objective truth beyond the laws of this world).
The problem with the present world order is that it is so finely tuned that it has surpassed its initial lifespan far past expectation, we are in a very shaky balance. It's not necessarily 'bad' per se, but as time goes on it will continue to hollow on the inside along with the people that live and breed within its confines. It will all naturally sort itself out, to all things comes an end afterall, no matter how perfect it may seem.
