Tower is OP in HotA
This town produces one of the highest HP per round, only town that has 3 shooters which is huge advantage. Overall their units are so strong Titan is really game breaking, 300 HP is unacceptable for a shooter and this town got huge buff in hotA.
Is there any reason not to pick Tower in HotA?

I don't think Tower is overpowered, they still need a lot of rare resources plus gold and their heroes are not that good.
Changing the build order and decreasing cost of a lot of their creature buildings was unneccessary though.
But Titans are beastly now that they can also choose to go melee.

Castle does pretty well vs Tower. Valeska is really broken in hota imo. With valeska as main hero you can count on about 30 marksman day 1. With such army you can creep Max crypt (10 vamps) and Churchyard( 120 zombies) day 1. Try to do it with tower

The same, but new is melee from H4. I used to melee. Tower needs crystal, wood and ore. Rarely event is sulfur and mercury, it means mage guild. Much better you play Elite (SoD), you can learn Tower. Are you played In The land of Nod (SoD)? I said you get to know the Tower. Yes Castle is OP also Inferno. HoTA team can try changes, what they want idea. But I don't play HotA no more. Yes I know by heart in 1.5.4 version.

None taken, my dear. Yes, because I firmly believe in the righteousness of my florid indignation and that it could be, in fact, used to balance the faction as the OP proposes — more powerful spellcasters would entail having weaker creatures.

Guys, stats distribution doesnt matter, what matters is creeping speed and how fast you can loot the creature banks and then:
1. On poor maps rush opponent.
2. On rich maps loot the utopias and then rush opponent.

Oh, but it does, it is one of the elements that gives classes their identities (the other, of course, being secondary skill advancement) and this game is by no accident named HEROES of might and magic, not CREATURES of banks and utopias. See, I firmly believe that we should strive for lore and thematical coherence and adjust balance accordingly, not the other way around.

Tower isn't as expensive as it used to be. 7. th level dwelling is super cheap for such a very strong lvl7 creature. Titan dwelling requires total 25.000 gold whereas Devil's dwelling needs total 35.000 gold! which is one of the weakest and expensive lvl 7 creature.
Also Tower can gain additional giants from creature banks. Huge HP, 3 shooter, 2 of them nas no melee penalty, one creature has no enemy retaliation ability and some magic immunities. If it is not op than i don't know which is?
Tower's heroes are not good but its barely problem since you can recruit heroes of other towns.

Inferno isn't weak team. Do you know HotA players collect over 200-300 demons, somebody player collected over 700 demons, he used meteor shower with diplomacy. 700 demons for about 4100 skeletons. You should watch twitch.

Every good player can win with any town but I don't see any advantage at picking Inferno over Tower.
I really dont understand why forsaken palace is more expensive than cloud temple. Titans are only 500 gold more expensive than Arch Devils but they are by far superior. Also Master Gremlins are flat better than Familiars and they are %50 cheaper. Most Inferno creatures really doesn't deserve these high prices.

You mean overpowered in general or vs. other players?
The game is in "bank meta" for years. In "bank meta" it mostly matters how to get fast to banks, clear it and snowball the opponent with wyverns or angels. It helps to have a powerful hero class with good stat distribution (mostly att/def) and good specialization (offense, armorer, logistics, etc.).
Tower gets some of the most lousy heroes in the game (Wizard class is awful and possibly worst class in the game (tied with Witch I guess), Alchemist is pretty much the worst might hero in the game).
Tower units aren't exactly that great against banks, certainly they are no vamplords. Easy access to giants is okay, but nothing that great since Giants kinda suck.
conclusion
not overpowered. Arguably on the weaker side.
Wanna play strong/overpowered, castle or cove is for you.
also, inferno isn't that bad. Demon farming is easy in hota, it still makes you want to claw your eyes out, but it works if you're persistent (I can't stand it myself). If you get to devils -2 luck is awesome.

I say overall Tower is the best town in HotA, it has some weaknesses like slow creatures, bad native terrain etc, but tower's other pros enormously surprass them and makes it the greatest town imho.
Tower's heroes are awful but Inferno heroes aren't great either. Eventually it is barely a problem since you can already recruit different heroes from tavern.
Just wondering what makes Castle, Cove and Inferno better than Tower at rushing creature banks early?

I think hota will shake the things up. Nowadays there are way more creature banks (not just for angels and wyverns), so its harder to make power stacks. I guess hota team wants to make 1 type of creature bank for each town (angels for castle, wyverns for fortress, snakes for cove, giants for tower and so on). So instead of getting 2 enormous stacks of angels and wyverns, you will get 10 small stacks of lvl 6-7 units from all towns

Always interesting to discuss town balance.
I definitely agree Castle and Cove are very strong. Necropolis still feels very strong, even with Necromancy cut in half. Vampire Lords are almost indestructable if played correctly, Power Liches are good and Dread Knights are awesome and you will still have lots of skeletons. I also feel Dungeon is really good, they have excellent special buildings and heroes.
Tower I would say is average, but it really depends on how rich the map is. Inferno maybe slightly below average, maybe higher if you really bother with demon farming, I don't. Inferno like Fortress have some creatures, that just seems too expensive for what they are worth and Fire Magic could definitely be better, like the damage spells and Slayer could be a mass spell. Arch Devils are great though.

The problems of Dungeon are weekly very low HP and damage output, high dependency of 7.th level creature, lack of powerstack like skeleton, demon, titan, angel and weak lvl 1,2 and 6 etc.
I read also other forums Dungeon is seen counter of Tower by some players but I don't really feel the same thing. Dungeon seems one of the weakest town for me but better than Inferno and Confux.
Castle and Cove are better candidates to compete with Tower.
