Water Magic for Inferno

How good is that or still better to stick only Earth and Air magics? Due to overall low hp of high level units these demon stacks should really be teleported the inside of castles in sieges. Cloning Devils and mass bless also look way useful what do you think?

If Dimension Door is allowed and at more than 1 cast per day, I see no reason to ever pick Water or Fire Magic over Air Magic.

With the large spread between min and max damage, Mass Bless might actually be very beneficial for Inferno.

The only thing Inferno doesn't get offered - both for Might and for Magic - is Necromancy. All the other skills are on the table.

Really it is very enjoyable hitting twice with clone devils with high morale thanks to non-retaliation ability, teleporting demons-imps inside castle then ressurecting them with pit lords, mass bless/prayer etc.

Heretic gets easier than Demoniac. Because of believing in or practising religious heresy. It makes very powerful against Castle. Yeah Demoniac learns Combat and Adventure skills. But Demoniac can learn Magic skills. If you don't want Fire, so you get a Air or Water or Fire again. If you can choose also right variation on skill, and you get a Water as Earth. When Demoniac learns only Combat and Adventure skills. Even if first Homm shares Fire, and then second Earth, it after AIr, and Water. But spirit If disagree (weak player thinks ways), you use a only one hero, so choose skill exactly. Heretic is "better" hero, when he/she learns Combat and Magic skills. So you're looking for a artifact, example of Boots of Speed. But the same thing, if you don't want some Combat skill, and you get a Diplomacy for demon farming or Water, etc

Mass Cure and mass Prayer are nice with every town. What Air and Earth magic have to offer is typically nicer though. Ironically, the least useful school for Inferno is Fire, unless you're going for something like Anti-Magic on the Devils + Efreeti + Armageddon.

They can still use blind, berserk, possibly even Sacrifice from time to time, so Fire Magic is not necessarily useless for them. But yeah, I agree that Inferno should thrive on fire spells more than any other faction. I guess it's true that this town is broken, and it's a pity because the archdevils and efreeti sultans are some of my favorite H3 creatures, both design- and gameplay-wise. I'm a sentimental fool, and I used to play Inferno often against my friend some 18 years ago, even though I knew he'd beat me. But at least I had fun cornering his grand elves with the sultans and let whoever dared attack them. That fire shield is one of the coolest things in Heroes 3 if you asked me

It's almost like Frenzy was made for devils though, they can become very powerful with expert Frenzy and their high speed and no retaliation makes them capable of "outwaiting" most opponents and striking without fear.

I usually play very well with Inferno even though I don't really demon farm. I don't really understand why people think Inferno is so bad. Of course they are better in HotA which I play now a days, but still...

yeah, I forgot about frenzy. That's another cool spell that I like and use often... to my army's peril cause I rarely use it efficiently

Problem is, most of the good Fire spells don't get much better if you take the skill, unlike their alternatives from the other schools.

Again make Slayer a mass spell at expert Fire Magic, buff most of the fire damage spells and perhaps give Fire Magic a new useful adventure spell or move Dimension Door to Fire Magic.

Yeah! One that lowers neutrals aggressivity by one with Basic or no Fire Magic, by two with Advanced and by three with Expert, but limited to levels 1 to 3 and you have to target each stack (possible cost around 3 spell points). This way one would never run out of creatures to demon farm.

^^ Pretty good idea, although it would be a bit weird with Fire calming units. You would think Fire would make them more aggressive and perhaps Water make them less aggressive, but making neutrals more aggressive probably would'nt be very useful...

How about a Fire spell that would do something like a "Week of the ...", in a limited radius, setting all spawns to "Hostile"? Could really mess with an enemy.

Inferno is below averge in HotA and its the worst town in SoD because their most of creatures are overpriced and very fragile and has no OP heroes, has only one shooter and castle gate is in most case useless.

Yes the fire magic really need buff but also water too if you don't nerf earth magic.
