Blind was supposed to be work based on HP on stacks and spell power like hypnotize.
A level 1 hero can cast blind -which is a lvl2 spell- onto 100 Archangels it absolutely does not make sense.

Both spells are utterly useless, though Fire Wall is less so.
But they do look nice and I wish they were useful.

A lot of spells in H3 are brilliant ideas, but bad settings. Their power should be just multiplied. We know today how AI moves in battles, which targets it focuses on, how baiting works and such. Therefore fire walls or land mines, under the right settings, would shine in battles.

The spells are really poorly introtuced in the game. I wonder how such a brillant game could fail in this part. There is nothing balanced about spells. There are pretty much useless spells in high level mega guilds while also game breaking lvl1 spells.

at that time it's been the greatest TBS fantasy game because it's been novel and has had many intimate mechanics that have been unknown to the average Joe. But, as people have played it more and more they have begun understanding its mechanics, thus noticing previously unnoticeable flaws.

Neutral is brainless berserker When the troops along with hero. So different story. But AI is AI in 1999 version. Now much has been developed in chess, shogi and go. And other games are tuned to CONQUISTADOR style like Unreal Tournament. But not brainy yet. Soon! Ok then the only spells aren't directed against the hero.

I think Land Mine should work like a targeted spell, not random.
Basic: 2 land mines (like Fire Wall)
Advanced: 7 land mines (Fireball area)
Expert: Many land mines (Inferno area)
In this way you don't have to increase the power of each individual mine, just make more and allow the player a choice of where to put them., After all, this is how land mines are used in real life.

Definitively Firewall, I use it when I have multiple stacks of Archangels and still have to Clone them more then once. It's cheap and can destroy as many stacks as I have. I've tried a trick with Quicksand and Landmine once or twice but without brilliant results...

Hehe I also use Fire Wall to get rid of Archangel clones, it is the cheapest way to do so. It would be even cheaper with Fire Magic, but that's not really what I go for as Castle...
